Re: 5K Staging Area is a Disgrace

I think that is a great idea....I'm not even a club member (I keep meaning to join but then life happens) but would gladly help out with a clean up. Last night we staged out of Fisher South.......I'm not up to speed with trail names (never really cared or paid attention as I know many good loops) b...

Re: Omitting Thermostat

Just a bit of a follow up review of the samco thermostat bypass hose kit for my 13 KTM 350 xcf w. I wouldn't say it helped allot with reducing engine overheat. My theory was that the thermostat and stock hoses restricted the flow of coolant. Personally I think the best improvement was adding the rad...

Re: 2016 Supercross - Spoilers Inside

Its the saddest time of the year, the last race of SX haha. Although now its time to get off the couch and head out doors for the summer haha. Tight race going into the last race of the year. Oldmotorcrosser, RiderEh, Myself, and Downunder within 15 pts for the top 4 positions. Pretty Crazy. And pr...

Re: KTM 350 XCF W SUSPENSION - ON A BUDGET

Dont pay much attention to the rider weights listed in the manual. I think they add a correction for some riding gear. Make sure you first set your static sag and race sag. If you cannot get these set to the limits listed in the manual then you need to respring the rear. Whenever you respring the r...

Re: KTM 350 XCF W SUSPENSION - ON A BUDGET

You're the same weight I am and when I'm fully geared up with water and tools I weigh in at 210lbs. We are too heavy for the stock springs and you will benefit from heavier springs regardless of whether you revalve or not. Thanks for the note. I ordered springs today. Look forward to testing them o...

Re: KTM 350 XCF W SUSPENSION - ON A BUDGET

I didn't mess with the suspension settings from when I got the bike until I was at a point where I felt it may benefit my riding and was comfortable on it. Over the winter and this spring I was fortunate enough to get in a fair amount of riding. So yeah I will change the springs to what the suspensi...

KTM 350 XCF W SUSPENSION - ON A BUDGET

So I was looking for some advice on suspension. I have a 2013 ktm 350 xcf w (open cartridge forks) with stock suspension and was looking at improving it without spending a ton on it. My weight is roughly 183lbs without gear and the type of riding I do is mainly single track with a small amount of mx...

Re: Who has a Beta X Trainer?

I sat on the X-Trainer that Blackfoot Direct had and it didn't strike me as a very small bike. Certainly not smaller than your 200. At 6' 2" my biggest thing is bikes being too small and so I payed attention to the size of the thing and I could definitely live with that thing. My memory is that the...

Re: Who has a Beta X Trainer?

I've spoken with the importer and at this time there aren't any demo bikes as they're all sold. However; I may have access to a demo possibly in July and they also plan to do a public BETA demo days starting in Vancouver working their way east. I'm told Alberta should be early october. I'll keep yo...

Re: How to fix a bent pipe

If its not bending or bending in the wrong spot I would also suggest putting some heat in the area (where you want it to bend). Oxy/acetylene torch would work if you know anyone with a fab shop. I know a guy that will do it but you would also need to take the bike to him. You would have to heat it o...

Agreed^^

You may want to consider Wildrose which should be open for riding without studs.

Re: Diesel Vs Big Gasser

Great advice and opinions above. I too had the same question a few years ago. I ended up going with a 2012 F250 6.7L Diesel XLT which had 25000K, only a year or two old and run around $37K. The XLT isn't fancy but I wanted to get a diesel at a lower cost and didn't really need all the options. It ha...
