Re: 2017/18 KTM/Husky Issues
I can't speak for the low end issues, but it sure seems something is out of whack with your forks. I've got you covered on the weight front by 40lbs and I usually run between 140-145psi on my 450XC-F and have only bottomed the forks once off road and that was miss timing a creek jump (it was muddy i...

Re: Anyone heading to Montana Soon?
Dean, I suspect currently most (not all) of the things people are getting from the US are not dirt bike related. With the exchange rate around $0.80 CDN/US most things are either cheaper or effectively the same price in Canada. As I now live in the US but fairly frequent free delivery from Canada (t...

Dear Axel99. I will agree to disagree. But then I'm not a hillbilly, I'm not just an ordinary redneck.

Re: Chain Saw recommendations?
Poulins and echo are throw away saws. They work great, but you may struggle to find parts. Get a consumer grade sthil or husky, maybe you pay a few more dollars upfront but atleast there are parts readly available. The key is a properly sharpened chain, it will reduced wear on you and extend the li...

Joe, speaking for the entire club I can most surely say you'll be greatly missed. You've been nothing but great for the club and sport. I remember when you got your DR-Z and how green but eager you were. It was clear the DR-Z wouldn't last long. Wishing you the best of luck where ever life takes you...

Re: An Observation...Maclean Creek.
First, it wasn't me. I haven't been to McLean in quite some time. Second, I always had Dobi ride my bike over the logs.ttwest wrote:It's probably someone with an auto clutch.

Re: Do you Rekluse?
If you have a KTM 4T (not a SXF) that flames out and 4cs forks that ride like a stiff board. Use $350 of the cash for a rekluse and install compression adj on the bottom of your forks and turn up the idle to atleast 1400rpm. No you have one of the best working 4T machines you can buy. Take the $400...

Re: Do you Rekluse?
For a lot of very talented guys running 4 strokes with MX based transmissions, they are utilized more as an anti stall device than a auto clutch. If you've ever ridden a 4 stroke (particularly with MX transmissions) you'll understand how easy and sometimes unpredictably they stall when crossing obst...

I'll add, if you're worried about figuring out who Robert is, don't be. Pretty much everyone will know who he is and it will be pretty obvious.giantjoe wrote:You'll both be fine. Show up, make sure you tell Robert you are green and we'll take care of you!

Re: Do you Rekluse?
I asked my eight year old daughter if she wanted me to put one in her 65sx.......... don't be silly dad! Best reason right there. :smirk: So people now think eight year old's know best? When my daughter was eight she thought that Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast, lunch and dinner with Froot Loops f...

So can everyone with a science degree get together and sign an open letter supporting responsible OHV use? I've got a Bachelor or Applied Science in Water Resources, and I can't be the only responsible OHV user with a similar education.

Re: Do you Rekluse?
Hey guys I was just going to post about this. Well it's tax return time and I'm thinking of buying one for my 2016 XCFW 350. Has anyone fitted one to one of these bikes I would love to know what you think of it. It's a big bit of cash so I'm a bit undecided at the moment. I had one on my 2012 350 X...

Re: SNOWbike...how do you know?
It would be relatively difficult to know for certain. But honestly, in my opinion, the fact a bike was used as a snowbike shouldn't really scare anyone away. Unless it had a turbo. Although snowbikes run high rpm, about the only extra "wear" factor they experience is thermal shocking from a hot engi...

Re: Bored in the hotel, and found this...
Thats some sick drone footage! A mildly interesting story. Dobi and I were at RRMT a few weeks ago and rode with Cole for a bit. Was definitely a quick pace for the little time we rode with him. So quick Cole's bike was literally on fire. He had just installed a new light system ahead of a 24hr rac...
