Re: Any cheap spark arrestor options?

There's a screen in there?! I'll have to go have a look after work.

Re: Any cheap spark arrestor options?

I found this on the PNWMA website: https://pnwma.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/PNWMA-Spark-Arrestor-Policy.pdf Spark Arrestor Policy The PNWMA mandates that all racers must utilize a spark arrestor on their motorcycle, this requirement is necessary to comply with Provincial law and to meet the cond...

Re: Any cheap spark arrestor options?

I did find this: http://www.bclaws.ca/civix/document/id/loo92/loo92/11_38_2005 Section 8 reads: A person must not operate an engine, other than an engine used in a railway operation, [...] (d) the engine is equipped with a safe and effective device for arresting sparks that is an integral part of th...

Re: Any cheap spark arrestor options?

You could probably buy just the screen from PMB or one of the other aftermarket systems and wire it inside the end cap of your stock muffler I was wondering about that. My googling didn't lead me to any conclusive answers about spark arrestor certification in BC. I found one government note about B...

Any cheap spark arrestor options?

In preparation for the BC races this year, I'm shopping for a way to add a spark arrestor to my 2016 350 XCF. The two cheapest I've found are the Lexx slip-on and mid pipe system for $200 USD from RMATV or the PMB endcap for about $200 CAD. https://images.rockymountainatvmc.com/images/prod/275/l/lex...

Re: Clever Lever?

I used a clever lever on my 2012 350, but haven't bothered putting it on my 2016. It does reduce the pull a little, but it's not a miracle cure. To get it working properly, you need to have your bike fully warmed up and have the engagement start as soon as the lever moves away from the bar. I found ...

Re: Keihin PWK set up

The cable adjusters where they connect to the carburetor are just to adjust free play. That could be the issue only if the throttle return cable is so loose that it isn't pulling on the throttle for the last little bit of travel before the fully closed position. If that isn't the issue, then you wou...

Re: Keihin PWK set up

I would first rule out an issue with the cables, i.e. check that the cables aren't pinched or bent somewhere.Take off the gas tank, see if the throttle returns easier. Remove the cables from the carb, see if they pull/push through without resistance (in case the cables were bent and damaged while yo...

Re: Linkage Guard.

Plastic is good enough in my opinion. I had a Slavens aluminium guard on my '12 350, but switched to the Obie for my '16. I think Polisport makes an "extra protection" skid plate that covers the link too. Might be worth checking out. I have a TMD on my KTM, which is great, but I'm not sure it's wort...

12pts off from max points in the 250 class. 26 pts from max in 450. Considering some of those max point riders were blocked because I had them the week before (including Brayton), I'm pleased.

Re: 2018 Supercross

I had 1. Barcia, 2. MacAdoo, & 3. Ferrandis... who went: 1. Out with a broken hand, 2. Busted his hand but finished. 3. Torpedoed in the first turn.

Yet I still had a good week! :applause:

Re: 2018 Supercross

We must've had similar ideas last round! I had Bogle, Hoeft and a total of three Justin's too. Thankfully the other two were Hill and Brayton, which were good (26 points/each is max for allstars right?). I'm not pleased with my 190 points, but I'm not crying about it either - especially since I thou...
