Re: Tech Tip - Servicing your suspension linkage
I go one step further and put the bike upside down..... That's a good idea but 4 strokes have that silly vent in the valve cover that lets all the oil drain out and it would make a mess on my garage slippers  .... don't service them till they are bearings are falling apart and you're on...

Tech Tip - Servicing your suspension linkage
I have been servicing bike suspension linkages wrong my entire life!! My first linkage bike was a 1981 CR125 and from 1981 until this week I have always service them with the bike on a bike stand. Some of you may already know there is an easier way. For those that don't, try this. Lay the bike on it...

BRP rubber mounted sub-mount steering damper mount for sale. This is for the mount and tower pin only. Steering damper is not included. This mount will raise the bars about 1 inch. I can confirm it will fit '08 - '16 XCW 2 stroke cast triple clamps and '08 - 16 XC 2 stroke billet triple clamps. I do...

Re: Tailgate Theft
I'll be watchin. If anyone spots or hears of a ruby red ford superduty tailgate for sale with backup camera and built in step. Call me. Mine had a small 1 1/4 inch scratch on the inside drivers side just below the plastic guard were my bike ramp rubbed against the paint. The lower inside torx bolts ...

Re: Tailgate Theft
That's my first "go to" response but Anne says we can't afford all the ammo we would need. I think we just need to adjust the budget. Seriously though, lock up your stuff. The tailgate was lifted off the truck in my driverway. I did have it locked but that wasn't enough. Normally i have the truck in...

Tailgate Theft
Did you know that someone out there is looking for the exact same tailgate that you have on your truck and he can take yours off in under 30 seconds!! He’s out there just waiting for you to turn your back. You’re wondering, why would anyone want to steal a tailgate? Well, as I found out today, a new...

A few of my buddies with Android boxes have no problems getting SX every sat night as well. For $70 or what ever they are going for, seems like a good option too. Do you have some more info on the Android boxes? I don't know anything about those but I'd pick one up in a heartbeat if it works. Thank...

Re: KTM Carb Heater Install
Long before purpose built dirt bike carb heaters, I used to use the thumb heater for a snowmobile or atv. Back then i would just zip-tie one to the carb body (float bowl as i recall). I think some thumb heaters now come with an epoxy to glue them in place. Would be easy to replace the ktm heater ele...

Re: KTM EFI 2 strokes
KTM just spent a lot of time and money developing a completely new line of 2 stroke motors and that new engine layout doesn't lend itself to direct injection. I have no doubt that they took the new emission requirements into account when they designed that motor. My money is on a "regular" EFI syste...

Re: KTM EFI 2 strokes
I don't find this to be surprising at all. Think of this, KTM made a switch to Mikuni carbs after a very long relationship with Keihn which they maintain on the EFI 4t bikes and stated the switch was because Keihn would not be able to supply the quantity needed. But they always had in the past .... ...

Re: Theft prevention?
Carry replacement cost insurance and inform your insurance provider of any upgrades to the bike so you have true replacement coverage. Theft coverage isn't that expensive. Remove garage door opener remotes from any cars that are parked outside. If it's outside, it doesn't need a remote! Add a "SureL...

Re: Can I borrow your fork seal tools?
I believe Delta is suggesting using a plastic pop bottle to clean your seals. Cut the plastic bottle so that you have a hook and slip it under the seal lip like in this vid.
