Re: Waiperous Single Track

AS far as the Mclean closure goes, I don't mind it. I have never ridden my sled there and if that is the reason for the carry over of the rule, it is outdated for that reason. But, more often than not, unlike the past 2 springs, the single track is still soft and wet into May. Many riders are not ab...

Re: Who has a Beta X Trainer?

Thanks Dean, I will check with you around that time frame to see if you still have one down at your shop. On a side note, Husqvarna TX300, new for 2017. With KTM dropping the 200 from their line up there is a gap and with Beta having success with the XTrainer, Husqy might have something to compete? ...

Re: KTM 350 XCF W SUSPENSION - ON A BUDGET

Dont pay much attention to the rider weights listed in the manual. I think they add a correction for some riding gear. Make sure you first set your static sag and race sag. If you cannot get these set to the limits listed in the manual then you need to respring the rear. Whenever you respring the r...

BCKOR?

https://www.facebook.com/BraggCreek/ I haven't found much information on the above listed group which has a facebook page but they are fighting to protect an area North of Mclean. Does anyone have any history on these guys? Are they going to look to expand the area they want to protect to include po...

Re: Convert off-road to street in Alberta?

You will also need a valid class 6 endorsement to register it as a road bike. There are some "legal" concerns that can come up when speaking with some people. If you have an insurance certificate for off road use and you are registering it as a road bike you could get yourself in hot water should y...

Re: Who has a Beta X Trainer?

Agreed the specs say it is 2" shorter seat height than my bike stock. That is quite a bit. Again I would need to see one to sit on and confirm. Beta 300RR's are already shorter than a comparable orange or blue bike and the X is shorter than that so I do believe the specs to be accurate. The Freeride...

Re: Who has a Beta X Trainer?

October would be fine to wait for trying one. I like to see all sides of something and having another season on the 200 is fine as I really feel I got it to be where I want it.

but in the mean time someone has to get their hands on one!

Who has a Beta X Trainer?

As the subject line states I am looking for people who have the X trainer. I have liked the idea of this bike since I have seen it released but I have never seen one let alone seen one in action and had reports from people who ride AB single track. My current ride a '13 200 has been a great bike and...

Re: Convert off-road to street in Alberta?

I have talked to a few people who recently tried to re-register "off road" bikes as "on road" bikes and ran into quite a number of hurdles. A few registries have said it is impossible with the current system and once it has an off road designation it will remain off road. I have also read elsewhere ...

Re: Tires, Tubes and Tubliss

I won't even begin to claim I have the riding experience that many of the forum members have but I have tried a number of tire combinations over the last several years, some with success, some not so much. I do not race, I like to think I am an intermediate rider, quick enough to keep up, but there ...

Re: Smart Carb

I was on the SmartCarb bandwagon for near two years. I was tired of their potential release dates and delays and went to a Lectron instead. Although the carbs work on very similar principles Lectron has been around for a long time and is cheaper. With the dollar sucking right now both are pricey but...

Re: Dutch Creek

The Crowsnest club offers a ATV map of the area. It shows all the main trails for exploration if any of that is your thing.

Just stay away from there on long weekends unless you are on the rowdier side of things haha.
