This is the wording from the Alberta Fire Ban website
Although the province-wide fire ban and OHV restriction was lifted, a Fire Advisory remains in effect for the Calgary Forest Area.
No fire permits will be issued.
Safe campfires are allowed.
Incendiary targets remain banned province-wide.

Diesel is the way to go. The resale should make up for the extra upfront costs, especially if you keep mileage low by only running it for your dirt bike/camping trips. The performance gains , like Dobi talks about, are just gravy. Cheaper fuel usually too. You may also consider a 2014/2015 used dies...

I ended up with Dalton Timmins insurance.
They seem quite pro bike. I didn't ask them about trials bikes in particular, but it is with a try. They are claiming to be the "Official Insurer of KTM Canada".

I believe the new Leatt helmet has newer '6D/MIPS' type technology and it's a pretty good bet it will integrate well with the Leatt neck brace...
