Re: Blue and yellow KTM??????

I wonder just what they "worked long and hard to perfect" on the 2 strokes? The KTM 2T (specifically the 300) has long been considered the best 2T in the woods. I was expecting the Husaberg 2T to have Direct Injection. It seems KTM is happy to let the Husaberg group be the redical arm of the company...

Re: 2010 Corner Grass race

I had a great time. Big thanx to trialsPaul for all the Tuesday night speed training. I was able to run guys down on the grass reasonably effectively. Thanx to WRocks and his advanced course last wed, the log hopping was pretty easy. That was my 1st ever attempt at obstacles. I'm happy they didn't m...

Re: When do you replace your bike?

New bike... when the stickers get a bit ratty looking of course! I realized that I'm the weakest link in the bike/gear/rider equation. The top guys could beat me on a vespa scooter wearing flip flops while having lunch but... The best gear I can buy will be the best chance I get to (try to) keep up ...

Re: Fork oil level

Here's Jeff Slaven's video tutorial on how to set the fork oil level on a KTM/Husaberg http://slavensracing.com/videos.htm

Follow this method but if you don’t have a oil siphon, you can use a huge syringe or a turkey basting thingamagigger

Re: Framer for a day needed/Concrete advice

If I understand your post, the low spot runs the width of the garage (not front to back). This isn't great. Front to back with the lowest spot at the roll up door is a benefit since all the water would drain out, not pool up. Side to side low spots might mean the water will be there all the time and...

Re: hitch mounted motorcycle carriers

I bought mine at Princess auto (about $100). The steel is on the thin side but It held up fine last year on my WR 450. You're more than welcome to borrow it from me if you want to try it out. I'm in Scenic Acres NW

Dave, when you find them, I'd like to hold 'em while you discuss your level of disappointment in the lack of their caring about personal your property rights! :smirk:

Re: Police and Fire Games - What the F@#*

I was at McLean for the may long. I didn't see much or any of the gong show antics of years gone by... Typical meat heads getting everything (4x4 grocery getters) stuck in the mud, plenty of people all over the place. Darn near got hit by a dirt biker going way too fast for his skill level. The brid...

Re: Steering stabilizer: Are they really worth it?

Hey Dave, Suspension setup is very easy for the basic stuff, then getting it close to your riding style will come pretty quickly if we find the right area to test ride and finally just a bit of fine tuning to get it dialed right in. Also, you can ride my bike with the stablizer if you like. We'll ne...
