Re: Chains and Sprockets?
Never had any luck with DID. They stretch too much for my liking and are pricier than most other brands. The RK 0-ring chain is tough and more economical......I can make one last a season. I wouldn't worry about sprocket weights and go with a cheap stealy one. It's not like any of us are racing pro ...

No doubt.....I know on saturday there was a ton of people out.blacksheep wrote:Did this happen during the day? It was really busy at the paved loop.
What part of the loop were you parked Brass? I would thing the west end near the outhouse would be the most vunerable to break-ins.

I would embrace a Hondaha or a kawasuki, but not a huska-berg-toomer.

Re: Fallen Timber race Aug 17-18
You need to be aware of how much gas you lose as the bike is laying on its side Yup. My bike was upsidedown for quite a while....twice. A few navigation errors added to the fuel compsumption and it was fairly hot too so most people don't account for that. Also you get worse fuel economy the hotter ...

Re: Fallen Timber race Aug 17-18
MX bikes and XC races??? Get a tank that does XC distances and stop complaining. I have used my stock tank for X-Country and harescramble races all the time without worries. Normally 60kms is no problem for YZ tank and I will have fuel to spare. Out in a place like Kooc I could get more because is ...

Re: Fallen Timber race Aug 17-18
My only complaint was the pie plates with distance notifications......when I saw the 35km one I was a little discouraged because it felt like I have done 50 at that point  wouldn't exactly call that a complaint either. I like the gnarly stuff......especially the hill climbing sections. It's eve...

Re: Fallen Timber race Aug 17-18
That was quite the race and toughest one I have done to date. Glad I put on the oversized tank for this one......burned 80kms worth of gas in 60kms. I am sure there were a lot of people who ran out of gas and boiled their bikes. Best part was eveyone talking about their nicks, cuts and blunt trauma ...
