Re: Steering Stabilizers ? Worth the Cost?
I had never had any use for a damper, however in 1999 I shattered my right wrist joint & radius very badly.Had two major wrist surgury's, both failed - the hip bone they were putting in my wrist wouldn't take.Went to 4 other Surgeons & they all said there's nothing else that can be done - your done,w...

Re: Mclean OHV use in Winter
A little history on winter riding in McLean when it was legal to bikes in the 70's & 80's.Back then McLean had tons of snow & the Forestry would groom many of the trails for the many sledders that rode there.A group of us wanted to start winter riding but had to figure out how [no Trellies then & sh...

Re: 2010 ADRA Rulebook
Fixed vet class error on spreadsheet. I think Rock93 is correct. I would hope the competition committee would use their discrection for exceptions (given in the rules) in cases where people were bumped as a result of low turnout at a race. I was going to start racing in Kids Beginner :) , but in re...

Re: WTB - KTM Rear Shock Spring
I have the Pro Action setup in the frankenbike...the best off road suspension i have ever ridden! Chris did the full meal deal on that, revalved and bladder kit with progressive on the back. i believe there is only 2 sizes of progressive springs and i have the "over200 lb" spring. the front forks a...
Re: 2T pipe
1st thing is E-Line makes FMF & Pro Circuit gurards for 2003 CR 250.FMF made 4 different pipes for that bike,so you need to find out which FMF pipes they made guards for.If they made one for the Gnarly I would go for that pipe - I'm sure you can still order that pipe, its thicker & will give better ...
Re: 2T pipe
isnt there carbon fibre guards sold now? just kind of figured that all the pipes were basically the same?? who sells them in the calgary area? Lots of carbon guards sold now, however they aren't generic.A mold is made to fit each & every bike perfectly.eg. take the 4 Jap 250 2t from 2003 & you will ...
Re: 2T pipe
If you want to fix them, WRocks on this forum is your man,he does alot of pipe fixes.E-Line is probably your only option for a pipe guard.Hopefully they have stock from back in 2003 as their guards were better quality better then - mostly fiberglass these days.Still this would be better than those c...

Re: Moose hard parts
Moose sells the E-Line carbon skid plate & pipe guards, stay clear of those.E-Line use to have excellent carbon products, however they are now made in Asia & most of the guard is fiberglass with a top layer of carbon fiber, the pipe guards break down quickly.

Re: KTM Fork Spring Question
Thanks for all your help guys!!! I think that I'll give Chris a call, I'm really curious about the progresssive spring. The progressive spring from Pro action [the Race Tech spring isn't the same thing] I think makes the bike ride more like a linkage bike. The first half of travel is soft &...

Re: KTM Fork Spring Question
According to KTM: 4.8 N/mm for forks and 76 N/mm for shock is for a rider fully geared up at 187lbs to 213lbs It is very important to keep the bike balanced with the matching springs. I read the same thing in my KTM Owners manual, but then when I was at Cycleworks,I had Tracy print off t...

Re: Exhaust Question
Just an update! This weekend I was able to get the carb rejetted to the settings Trailguy suggested! Everything went great except one huge rookie mistake. After getting the carb reassembled I went to adjust the air screw and I turned it in to get it to the seated position. Well I got it seated and ...
