Re: Dirt bike DIY projects

I don't have your skills in craftsmanship but I did come up with this. A condom for my bike....didn't want any unexpected little yz's running around :smirk: I am working on a flux capacitor for my bike so I can avert all my prior crashes into trees, rocks, and logs so my knees and back (and my head)...

Re: Sound testing question

I only went to 3 races last year and haven't seen or heard of any sound testing at all. Not to say they won't do it this year but when I did get tested the first time they gave you a 1 race grace period to correct if you test over like I did at reviere's in 2012.

Like where they are mounting the camera...under the visor. Maybe a suggestion for the gopro guys here.

Re: Pipe repair pressure setting

I wasn't going to try anything until the spring when the weather warms up so trying the pressure washer trick sounds better....and safer.

Re: What to improve on your bike for next year?

Had a little work done to the carb near the end of last year. RB designs 38.5mm bore with a reworked pilot circuit and an air striker installed......going to dial it in this spring. Compliment it with some pro series boyesen reeds :D Is that wing permanently mounted? Or is it one of those aftermark...

Re: Pipe repair pressure setting

Using air.......whoa, 100psi? Some youtube vids show anywhere from 20-40psi. I am thinking what golarge said and start low and work my way up. Using MAP gas for heat btw.

Re: Castor Oil

I ran the 927 for the whole 2013 season and did a full teardown of the yz and the top end still had plenty of life after 90hrs at a 25:1 ratio premix. I am pretty hard on the motor and like to ring it out as much as possible. Powervalve wiped clean with a paper towel and zero carbon on the valve its...

Agreed with Brass.....if only I could ride my bike to half it's potential I'd be a happy guy.

Zing!

There is nothing cooler than the sound of a 125 2-stroke zinging on a track. Whenever I am at Wildrose mx and see one I stop and watch/listen :)

Very very fast! Enjoy!
