Re: Wheel "dish" measurement for KTM 300?

I ended up using my caliper to measure from the fork legs to the rim edges and am off center-by roughly 5.25mm. Sigh. So I need to pull the rim over 2mm or so - probably not that difficult. We will see. (I somehow doubt that I'd even notice the difference while riding, however) As a side note for an...

Re: Wheel "dish" measurement for KTM 300?

That measurement to fork guards I took was useless, really.

I was thinking that a measurement from the outside surface of the brake rotor (e.g. furthest from the hub) to the rim edge is all I need - I will move my rim over to whatever that distance is.

Re: Wheel "dish" measurement for KTM 300?

Yes, when I realized what I had done I installed and seated the front wheel properly and did a 1/2 arsed measurement with a ruler to the fork guard to see what it looked like and it's out maybe 5mm. That is admittedly a very poor measurement but I just wanted to see how bad it was. I mounted the tir...

Wheel "dish" measurement for KTM 300?

Does anyone out there know the correct measurement for wheel "dish" on a 300XC front & rear wheels? I bought a truing stand, "trued" the heck out of my front rim and suddenly realized I had failed to consider wheel dish. I loosened and tightened a lot of spokes trying to get it totally true and the ...

Re: Fork and shock Revalve for woods

If you have the older style WP closed cartridge forks (eg. non 4CS) you might want to consider the JBI Pro-Perch. I've got crappy shoulders and my stock 2011 XC forks with the proper springs left my shoulders so sore it was difficult to reach the garage door opener in my truck after a day at McLean....

Gaerne SG-10 Boots White - Size 10

White Gaerne SG10 Boots in Size 10 - good shape with years of riding left in them. Don't ride in cheap or worn out boots - SG10 was top of the line when these were new (prob $500+ new); you'll fly like Cooper Webb and be stylin' like K-Dub with these puppies on! Need a wash & haven't got around to i...

Anybody have a 3.5mm KTM fork preload spacer?

I am in need of one 3.5mm KTM fork preload spacer (white plastic washer) - does anyone have one kicking around? Don at Pro-Action set me up with a bunch (thanks Don!) but i need one more. Nobody has them in stock and for some reason they are crazy, unrealistically expensive. They come in 1.5, 2.5 & ...

Chain Maintenance - Thoughts?

What do most of you grizzled old vets do for chain maintenance? Looking for your thoughts on what I do... Bike is a 2013 300XC and when new I pulled the shock and built a jig to ensure the chain was not too tight at it's tightest point (e.g. swingarm parallel to ground) - I'm pretty confident that I...

Re: Bottom end 2 stroke

My buddies mocked me for the Snap-On digital torque wrench i bought but 3 years later both of them have one too. You gotta tighten a lot of bolts to make the thing pay for itself though.

SIDI Crossfire 2 SRS Size 8.5 Black / White - BRAND NEW

Bought these online but 1/2 size too small - anybody want them before I pay to ship them back? $575...which is $100 + GST less than you will pay here and probably $75 cheaper than you will get them online by the time you factor in shipping & duty etc. These have been on my feet for about 10 min in t...
