Re: Two questions piston and gearing?
Gearing is personal preference. You could try a 52 on the rear so you can get into 2nd more but there is nothing wrong with riding in first gear, you will use more gears as you progress. I rarely got out of first gear when I started riding single track(still don't some days :smirk:). Thanks boland ...

Swanys beat me today : (
So the second time I've ever rode up there followed the ridge along before we turned off to the left and went back down. But today I followed the ridge all the way along until all I can describe it as a wall of roots and rocks lol. Got up some of the way but man I could not get passed this section. ...
Re: Tires
Wow thanks for the Info RJheney yes I was meaning stickeyness. I did my first ride of swaneys at the weekend and seemed not to have good grip on the roots and rock parts. I'm still running the original tire my ktm came with I got last year.
Re: Tires
So when you say golden tires don't last long how long do you mean? Would you get a summer out of the rear if you ride evey weekend? Or less than that I'm looking for more grip.

Re: Finding a trail help please
Thank you for your reply well I would say I'm a novice rider only got my bike last year. I don't care if it a hard ride I would prefer just to throw myself in and learn than hold back and say I can't do it. Is it ok to do by yourself I don't have any riding friends normally just go out for a few hou...
