I am really starting to enjoy this bike, the EXC is cake, but being able to pull the "cheater switch" when it gets hairy and just hang on and pull through, up or over is the frosting!

Hydraulic vs cable, I find you give up some feel, more like 0%, 33%, 67% and then 100% engagement, but gain mechanical advantage (less effort to compress the pressure plate springs), not sure how this lever would work but with a longer travel it might get some "feel" back.

Nitrogen is inert, and the most plentiful component in the atmosphere, marketing ploy methinks.

Interesting, coming from a cable clutch I thought the hydraulic one was a real boon!

Valves solid at 15hrs, gear oil had less material in the screen. Replaced the problem bearing, RTV'd the lower cover for a better seal, then reassembled. Ticking noise still present. Well, I think I found the source of the noise, as evidenced by the pool of rusty water in the bearing retainer pocket, bearing is rusty and lots of stiction. What bike? Straight ones will flex enough, the 5 valve yammie intakes require you to cut the tip to a point anyhow, and more gauges between .1mm and .2mm is nice, but really the std. ~.10, .12, .15 and .17 you get in the $10 cdn tire set work.

That image in the tech article is misleading, you do not pull that seal off, rather fill the void between the collar its on and the shaft with RTV, as the coolant leaks through there along the shaft, the press fit is not tight enough to prevent leakage.
