Good one Trudy! While tomorrow will be my second last day at this job and I need to organize a lot of sh*t and make sure that all of the loose ends are taken care of. Hopefully I can get out for some saddle time on the weekend. Maybe I could call in sick for my first day on the new job??

From what I've read, the engines are the best part of the chinese bikes. Depends on what you want to do with the bike. It seems to me that the chinese engine would work well and perform the same, but may not last like a Honda lump. If you do, go with the 100cc engine instead of the 80cc. Then you'll...

Hey I wasn't commenting on your riding skill, just my own lack thereof! Weird that it only gives you problems on cold mornings, the bike should be running leaner on the cold mornings than on the hot afternoons. I think it's probably a matter of figuring out how to get it warmed up without pissing it...

I had a CR250 that used to eat plugs, partly because it was jetted poorly and partly because I rode it like the 15 year old wuss that I was. There are definitely some things you can do to help, but sometimes it just happens and you have no idea why. First thing is to always carry extra plugs and the...

Bar C

What time are you guys planning to meet up? Where exactly do you stage for Bar C? I've been to Waiparous many times and Fallen Timber many too, I just don't think I know exactly where you mean by Bar C. Is that when you turn left as you come into Waiparous and get on the road that goes down by Devil...

Mine is with Jevco as well, but I'm paying over $300 for my WR400, including fire/theft, and that is with a class 6 licence. My old XR600 was costing me more like $400. The size of the engine has a lot to do with it. That's an advantage for 2-strokes right there.

Helmets

I think they are all pretty much safe enough, spending more money just gets you more comfort. Almost all of them have a Snell approval now, which is above and beyond the DOT approval that is required by law (for road use anyway, I don't think the law actually requires any helmet for off-roading). Th...
