Re: A New Chapter -KTM 690 Set Up

I have to say, riding this bike has been a blast. With the mods almost done, it was time for some luggage. I settled on the Wolfman E-12 for a couple reasons. They're the size I need for adventuring/maybe 1-2 nights, and they're soft bags which is important for off-roading. They open almost fully wi...

Re: 2019 Supercross races on TV

Finally Telus TV is offering FOX sports racing in HD for $4.00 a month. :applause: No more over priced garbage streaming packages or the frustration of finding a working stream. Will be nice to PVR them as well. Just got mine today and it also has the Monster Cup broadcasting at 7:30 PM this Saturd...

Re: AER48 Oil Level

The air pressure in the air fork also fills the balance chamber; higher pressures also have a counteracting higher balancing pressure. The Fork doesn't behave like the one on an older bike. Higher pressures are not necessarily harsher, and lower pressures still resist the bottoming that can be so de...

Re: DirtyMoose "the 13th" teaser

As it turned out, we dodged the fire bans and it was probably close to 10 degrees cooler on Saturday vs. Friday

It was the best course yet, the best weather in years, and an awesome event.

A huge thanks to all those who helped and turned out to race.

Re: 2016 XC-F Wire Harness for Lights and Acc.

I have to say, I'm super happy with this harness on my XCF, it's a top quality piece.

Your asking price isn't more than the KTM fan harness, which is built in

I checked when in the garage last night, and the 0w40 is not JASO rated.

Re: Rear sprocket size

One of the reasons guys love the XCW is it's wide ratio transmission. First gear should be plenty low (like, trials ride low) and the top end still decent.

The XCW already has a much lower first gear (14:32 vs. 15:31) than the XC. I would say ride it as is, and see if you like it...

That is a good idea - not JASO rated, but would work great in the gearbox. Any clutch trouble?
I agree with the "not a an oil thread", but Rotella T4 and T6 are JASO rated. Unfortunately the conventional Rotella T has been discontinued.

Re: A New Chapter -KTM 690 Set Up

There certainly is a lot of trade-offs with dual sports when it comes to traction. If you're used to your worn out bib mousse or 10 # in a tube, your in for a surprise at 25 pounds in a DOT tire, as I found out. I did a lot of research on this issue with the 690, and settled on this: Tubliss.jpg Bef...
