If anyone is uncertain, I rode this bike last week. It ripped and I didn't even touch the nitrous. And for those that missed it in the title, it has the TSS system which is a +$1,000 option.

You're welcome to come to my place. I figured out a way to get it on my tv.

I don't have direct experience with carb heaters, but I do know of people redirecting coolant lines to a heat trace loop around their carbs to get heat when you don't have the required electric power. If you do this, you should still wrap the carb to keep the heat in.

They don't make good snow bikes (at least the 690's don't). They barely make any more (if any) power than a 450sx/xc and are too heavy (almost 100+ lbs vs a 450).

Lots of different braces almost everyone I know has either a Leatt or Atlas. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

If you're sitting on the fence you should sign up while you can. Word has it that one of the top endurocross riders from the Wildwood area of Calgary will be competing. With the access volunteers are given you might even be able to get his autograph.
