Re: Alberta designates grizzly bears a threatened species

Protection of grizzlies is important. However, if protection of grizzly bears becomes an issue for motorized recreational access, I would hope regulatory authorities would be convinced to act in an objective fashion rather than knee jerk. According to their bear study, illegal kills and vehicle acci...

2006 Yamaha TT-R50

2006 Yamaha TT-R50. I bought this bike new in 2007 and child has outgrown it. Regularly maintained and in good condition. I estimate 15 to 18 hours running time on the bike based on my written records. Good clean little starter bike for kids, with a low seat height (21.9 inches), three speed transmi...

Re: Honda OIL - type - not best

I find it a pain to run MB in motor and MA in tranny on my CRF250x, so I've switched to running Motul 300v synthetic in both sides without any clutch problems. The 300v is not rated MA or MB (it's rated PE  ) but clutch works with it just fine. I also run 300v in a Yamaha YZ450F motor (no sep...

Re: The Official 2009 Grizzly XC

I have a couple of beginner questions because me and my buddy are thinking about showing up on the weekend to "race" (I use the word loosely, we're pretty much newbies in our second season at McLean Creek and have never raced before): - do you need a license or do you just show up before the riders ...

I rode in McLean twice on the weekend and did see some bad behaviour (none involving motorbikes). It's unfortunate that a small group of irresponsible users wrecks it for everyone else.

New 2

John here, another new guy. I dirt biked for years as a kid in the Calgary area until I turned 16 and became legal on my Kawi H1 (somehow the bright orange fire breathing two-stroke triple blocked dirt bikes from a 16 year old's mind!). I got back into dirt biking last year after taking a dirt bike ...
