Re: McLean Conditions??
Sounds like we have a challenge brewing! The best place to settle these types of challenges will be at the Dirty Moose race on Aug 18. It's a club event. :D Whoa, whoa, whoa. Nobody told me I would actually have to back up any misguided smack talk! Guess I better reread the forum rules.

Re: McLean Conditions??
Yeah, that's kinda what I figured. Happy to hear its rideable at least. I have not been around much this year unfortunately. Lot of travel with work. We should get out and ride together this weekend. When and where are you riding? You probably still won't see much of my KTM though, not from back whe...

McLean Conditions??
Ive been out of town for a couple weeks and now I am itching to get some riding done. Seems like I have missed a lot of rain. What are conditions like? I'm planning to get out Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Are there some trails I should avoid for a while?
Thanks,
Brent

Lost GPS
On Sunday one of the guys I was riding with lost his GPS. He thinks the last time he saw it was just before we started on East Horizon. We backtracked a bit of the trail, but came up empty. Bit of a long shot, but if anyone finds a Garmin out there, let me know.

Dickie, congrats on the new Berg!
Except the Husky? How dare you! The Gas Gas vs KTM fight dies down and you gotta start up on the Huskys.

Re: Anywhere close to Calgary where I won't need studs?
I did end up going on a short ride on Saturday. We didn't get out until about 3:30 and then rode until 7:30. The weather was perfect but, as expected, conditions were pretty sketchy. Any lower elevations or north facing slopes still had a fair bit of snow and ice so we had to be pretty aware of wher...

Some snow! This plan might need a re-think. I was planning to go Saturday but I may have to plan to go elsewhere.

Re: Anywhere close to Calgary where I won't need studs?
I should mention that we are planning to park at Fallen Timber at about noon and ride from there. If anyone is interested in joining us look for a red Dodge Ram and a couple of Huskys. We will park on the west side near the bridge.

Re: Anywhere close to Calgary where I won't need studs?
A friend of mine in Water Valley told me today that the trails are in good condition out Waiparous way. Snows gone, ground doesn’t seem frozen, and it is dry. We are going to go out this Saturday and see what we can do. I’ll post a report when we are done. If anybody heads out before the ...

Re: rear wheel hop
Yep, that's rebound. Not enough of it. Find a nice rough section where you can get some speed. Turn your rebound dampening up a lot. Too much. Now, start riding that section and backing it off until your back wheel just starts hopping again. Now go two clicks back up and you should be good to go.
