Re: Dunlop Gummy tire for Endurocross now available
There is also the new (or what I believe to be new) Washougal II intermediate tire. Obviously not as exclusive as the Dunlop works specialty tire but a dual compound tire that from its description sounds good for varying AB terrain. http://www.kendatire.com/en/motorcycle/mx-off-road/washougal-ii/?ut...

PODS, tubliss 18", child chest protector
Hey all, some spring cleaning turned up a few things that will hopefully be helpful to someone else. PODS MX K300 knee braces. Size Small. Paid almost $600 for these couple of summers ago, worn one season. $300 for the pair, obo. Injection-molded, glass-reinforced nylon, about 16" in height which w...

Re: Smart Carb
There is lots of info on various forums for these carbs. I had pre-ordered one early last year but through the legthy delays in availability I stayed with my regular carb. Its basically a version of a metering rod carb. Not new technology, but underused. Widely used in muscle cars. All the claims ar...

Re: Cylinder Head Images. Opinions?
I am not a professional engine builder but a guy who wrenches on my own junk and I would replace the piston/rings. In the 2nd photo below the locater pin on the bottom of the piston skirt there is some decent wear for 21 hours. Some of that is just the coating, but the lower portion is worn. This is...

For simple storage I would just get a few of these:

There are many buisnesses you can find people giving these away.

Re: Linkage no linkage
I do not believe there is any clead definitive answer. I like the PDS for some of the reasons already mentioned. I do not miss tearing down my linkage to clean and grease everything. The first time I pulled the shock on my PDS I knew right away I was going to be a happier guy in the garage. Now it g...

Re: Red Bull Rocks & Logs - May 25, 2013
Does anyone know if they will leave the track as set up for the Rocks & Logs for awhile or go back to the regular set up? I would assume some of the components to the track design like the wood berm may go away fairly quick. I called the track number but no one answers. I wouldn't mind having a few ...

Re: Antifreeze in my oil?
Yes it would have an o-ring on the head. But if that was leaking it would take quite awhile to make its way to the tranny. It could explain a little ontop of the piston, or that was just residual from removing the head.
Water pump seal sounds viable. Or the case vent sucked in a bunch of water.

Re: Trials Tires Questions
I have about 6 hours of riding on the TT I picked up from B rod and I have to say I am very impressed. Riding everything from hard packed forestry transition roads in BC to rocky, rooted steep up hill single tracks even snow, and I was able to handle it all with ease. I actually found the Trials hoo...

Re: Helmet recommendations
Helmet choices are as variable as oil choices. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how much a helmet is or what rating it has, a poorly sized $500 helmet is likely not as good as a properly sized $100 helmet. If you have no experience in sizing a helmet, that is the first thing you should do. G...

Re: '13 KTM 2stroke Throttle Safety Recall
I think I put around 50 hours on my 2013 last year and no issues thankfully, I had also replaced the stock throttle cable with a longer motion pro to re route it as I find the stock cables so short. I wonder if that helps the situation.
