Don't let your kid ride a trike... My daughter is 17 months old, and can use a two wheeler already.

Re: Recommend me a GPS for riding.
Great feedback Rod and Axel, I think if you charge your phone just before you head out it should last an average ride. As for mounting it on the bike, I had a great idea for a heavy nylon pouch, backed with rubber for cushion, mounted to the tank- just below the gas cap. I was looking at my bike, C...

Re: Recommend me a GPS for riding.
I can't really remember. I have logged a few trails, but unfortunately, they only show up on google maps for a month. Lame. There is a facebook integration that will save your data, and you can view a few different graphs for it. I think the best solution for logging a trail is throw it in your pock...

Re: Recommend me a GPS for riding.
I have motionX GPS as well. I like it quite a bit. It'll suck up your battery so be careful. I was thinking about making a mount for the bike. It would be cool to have something that clamshelled the whole phone, but had a o-ringed hole about the size of the screen. Clamp it down and force the seal a...

Re: Hiya!
I got my license in October! I'm insured and ready to ride. I've already got some junk to fix up the bike and can't wait for spring.

Re: Seat mod - good upholstery shop?
It's great to hear that someone can do bike seats in the city... I'm very rookie but know that my DRZ has a very stiff seat. Being 6'6" and 220lbs, I know that the seat wasn't designed for me. Is there anything I should ask them to do specifically? I could use a little lift, I suppose a little widen...

Re: Hiya!
My bike is a dual sport. I fully intend on riding it on the street. I think that's why they want me to take the course. I got insurance through Blue Circle and intend on getting it registered as soon as I get my pink cards, tonight I hope. Thanks for the info though. I'll get insurance through Meloc...

Re: A lurker's questions...
Well, I took it for a little cruise tonight. Wow, I missed this. I never got it above 40kph, but this bike feels plenty powerful for me. Remind me not to wear polyester pants on it, they were slippery. I have a buddy from work who has a bike, and we're going for a ride Thursday evening. I'm going to...

Re: A lurker's questions...
I don't mean practicing wheelies and donuts, I mean idling slowly so that I can pass the pylons and slow movement stuff.

Re: A lurker's questions...
Well, I found some boots on ebay... They were 10 bucks cheaper than retail, but after shipping and sludge they worked out to about the same as they would have cost locally. But hey I found some size 15's; Axo Boxers. The wife found me some insurance, so i can register the bike now, so I can take it ...

Re: A lurker's questions...
Cool thanks. Looks like I can get insurance and registration easy enough now. I don't need a class 6 for offroading do I? I'd really like to go riding before the snow really flies, is there anyone thinking about the holiday Monday? I won't have my license yet, but if I could load it on the back of s...

A lurker's questions...
Hi Just bought a bike on Friday, Suzuki DR-Z400S, and have been reading over this forum ever since. I am curious about a few things. I haven't ridden a bike in like 15 years, but am anxious to get back into it. So on to the questions: 1. Guided rides: What do I have to have in order to do this? Bike...

Re: Hiya!
Wow! My insurance company, Meloche Monnex won't insure me 'till I have a license and have taken the course. Then they only are going to charge $119/yr. Maybe I should just take a course and borrow their bike for the road test... Thanks for the compliment on the bike, this year they come in black as ...
