The stock bulb filament will break off with the vibration and additional heat. I installed these 65W Osram H7 halogen kits in both my 2008 450 XC-W and 2010 300 XC and they work great. Back to topic on the differences on the two 450s; the XC-f, it has the twin cam engine as found in the SX, electric start only (no kicker thingy if the battery’s dead) and a semi close ratio transmission.
