Ahh I see, doesn't look good then. Who could I talk to about volunteering for this race, or is it 100% shut down now? If it's in the Pass I'm there most weekends and will certainly help as much as possible.

Re: Dancing Monkey - Cancelled
This is the HS in the Crowsnest Pass, correct? Sucks if it is true, but the ADRA site doesn't have anything on it yet.

Re: Porkies XC
Thanks Dirtyboy! Would you head down 22 or take the #2? Another quick question as the newbie, is there a survivors guide to doing these kinds of events? For instance, I know I need a full range of portable tools, hydration system, spare goggles, food and so on, but do you guys bring other bigger it...

If you need to download the episodes, they are all there, plus many other seasons and other movies as well. I use Limewire to download, works great.

Re: Tire Selection
I like Kenda Carlsbad F/R when it's dry in the summer. They hold up well and work great in the rocky hardpack, but mediocre in mud. I think they're about 75 w/tax for a rear and 45 for a front. Dirtshark rears were awesome when you could get them.

Yeah we rode there today, perfect traction most places, dusty as heck others. Great riding nonetheless.

Re: Cable lube
From my understanding the cables now are teflon coated (or something equivalent) and require no lubrication. They can be lubed, but you have to clean and relube them regularly if you do because of the added attraction of dust. Lubing them properly and regularly is supposed to lengthen their lives if...

Re: Got a smoking deal on an 08 WR today
Welcome to the board. I'm going to be relatively new to racing this season as well, hope to see you out there! I have a set of Race Tech springs for a WR450 that are suited to 230-250 lb riders, if you're interested PM me. They're a bit too stiff for me, since I weigh a staggering 165! -Rick

Another one to the dark side, great to see Yamaha having such a great off-road program, at least someone is giving the orange brand a run for their money.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I will stop worrying until the week before Sharples, if by then I haven't seen anything I'll make some phone calls!

2009 CMRC License
How long does it typically take to receive your license/number after purchase? I bought mine at the arenacross on Feb 5th '09 and have yet to see anything, is this normal?

Sharples HS
Anybody planning on going out there this year if the weather is good enough to run this race? I am curious as to where it is, as I have never been there before. I am guessing northwest of the Porkies, around Heath Creek?

Looking for a good used one. Need it to have the link arm, and hopefully the tower pin with it as well, but not required.
