Re: Kooc Troof

I was riding in the Kooc area on the Labour Day long weekend. Saw many of the signs at the entrance to single track tails. Also saw many of the metal sign posts where the sign had been removed (as was mentioned above). Also ended up on trails that we thought were open, but then found a sign at the e...

1998 KTM 250 EXC jetting woes

Does anyone out there own a 1998 KTM 250 EXC? I recently bought one, and am trying to get rid of the low throttle bog, or initial bogging between about 0 - 1/3 throttle. Does this indicate a lean condition or rich? Its ridden mainly between 4000 - 6500'. If anyone has a this bike or one close, could...

GPS? Recommendations?

I am looking for a GPS unit to buy to use mainly while dirtbiking. I have never owned a GPS unit of any kind so your input will really be appreciated.
My main requirements are: 1) Good screen size 2) Good mounting hardware options 3) Ease of use while riding.
What are your recommendations?

Whacked Steering - what's the cause?

Been riding for 30 years...should know this...gonna ask anyway... Have a 2001 KTM 300 MXC. Due to some spills, my steering is way out of whack. I'm trying to determine what all can be possibly out of alignment and adjusted. Yes, my handler bars are bent but that is only part of the problem. So, apar...

Re: Best riding shorts?

Couple things. For use while riding a dirt bike, not cycling. I know from experience that undies from walmart are not the best way to go. Also, I am unable to stand up on my bike for complete rides, unlike all the extremely fit stand up riders out there. Thanks for all the posts. Some good info.

Best riding shorts?

Looking for opinions. What are your favourite brand/kind of riding shorts? Main criteria....postpones/eliminates monkey butt for the longest amount of time. Looking for something that is really comfortable over 2-3 days of riding.

Re: Moab 2008...report and pics/movies

I know they are a couple of years old now, but this is the first time I've seen them. I guess I need to keep up on new post on RMDRA more often.

Great pics and vids as usual. Haven't been to Lasalle mountains yet but looks nice. Anyone coming down in 2010?

Throttle movie

Throttle has some great riding, different disciplines and some good Canadian content. I haven't been able to find the DVD online anywhere. Finally found it on YouTube. Here is an 11 part series (excluding part 8). Sort of has a bit of "On Any Sunday" feel to it. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Pa...
