Re: Gripwarmers
Sorry, slight hijack here. What is the trick to installing grips easily? I find the clutch side easy but the throttle side is always a bear. I put those pillow tops on my 530 this past summer. (They're pretty comfy grips.) I put the grips in boiling water to try to soften them up but I still had a ...

Re: Winter Riding - Part II
Don't know about the praries, but you can ride in about a foot and a half of snow, even without a track. Generally there are trails to ride on that have a motorcycle track (or rut) in the snow that is packed. Don't be afraid of the snow - it's amazing how much/deep snow you can ride in! D...

Re: Moab 2010 Adventure Report
I'm just arriving in Vancouver to attend Board meetings and the AGM of the MCC (Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada). I sit on the Board of Directors and am the elected representative from Alberta. Anyway, as soon as I am back I'll have plenty (although still only about 10% of Spinalguy's commenta...

Re: Winter riding
it's not that big of a deal. just get out there on what ever you want to spend money on and you don't have to be hard core. you'll love winter riding, it's a blast! Ultimately Brent is right here! The most important thing is to just get out and do it. You should totally take Brent up on the offer o...

Re: Winter riding
I am thinking that I want to extend my season into the colder months. I have no experience with this and I have a bunch of questions for those of you who do. 1. Tires – Trellborgs, Michelin, Cheng Shin. Trellies are out of my price range, but I found a really good deal on Cheng Shins, about $300. A...

Re: Pipe repair service?
Hey gents, my 2-smoke pipe is crushed at the front from compressing and bending over the frame, looking to get it repaired local in Calgary. Any recommendations? I've had a number of pipes done by Pacific Crest Pipe Repair. The pipes came back looking like new - dents removed, perfectly straight, e...

Re: Winter Riding - Studded Tires! (2010)
Just an update: If you all recall, last year for a number of reasons our stud order did not arrive until after Christmas - the biggest factor is how late the order was placed. If you are interested, get on it ASAP -If I have enough volume, I will put an order in on October 11th, and will have the st...

Re: Goggle lens cracking mystery
Anyone else use Windex (or ammonia cleaner) on their lenses?
(I've never used ammonia solutions to clean my lenses).
