Re: Mountain Goat 100

We started working on getting a TFA for this event in January. The ESRD officer involved made it sound like there would be no problem with hosting the race. We submitted a map with the course on it. In July we were told to make a couple of adjustments so we could use existing bridges over a couple o...

Re: Boys Weekend 2014

Good story Tom. When you hit the Atlas road off the spine all you had to do was go down the 1 km turn left on to an old cut line and you would have caught a trail which takes you back to the Race horse staging area. another option is go down the atlas road till marker 19, go past it 100 meters and t...

Re: Anywhere to ride w/o studs yet?

To get gate key go to Fast Gas in Raymond. $20 per person for the day. I was working in Drumheller last week and it...

Re: 2013 Western XC Championship

The entry fee is $45. There is a day license available for $40 or if you plan on racing more than 1 event I would recommend buying the complete license for $130. Hope to see everyone out at the Porkies hare scramble this weekend. We have a fun flowing 25 kilometer loop for every ones enjoyment. Weat...

Riviere's Revenge postponed till May 25@26

I was just informed that Clint's race has been moved to May 25th and 26th due to the large dump of fresh snow they received last night. We need spring to show up soon.

Re: Southern Alberta Land Use Petition

The petition and news interviews are all about letting people know that this plan is even taking place. Most people thought that the SSRP was about land use in South Sask. not Southern Alberta. We are just getting people fired up so when phase 3 takes place people will turn out for the public consul...

Re: Southern Alberta Land Use Petition

This is posted on the left hand side . Why this is important The South Saskatchewan Regional Plan (SSRP) is trying to implement a major land use restriction to Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) usage as well as random camping in Southern AB. It will affect every aspect of outdoor recreation, eg. Quading, Bi...

Re: 2012 CEC Vernon

Twitch wrote Hey Dobi, I'm a newbie racer. Just had my first race at Porkies HS. Low budget gong show, is this race worth the long 6.5 hr drive?

I am very interested in this comment too. These kind of comments piss me off. i can very easily never put on any more events.

Re: Porkies HS

Hi everyone. Had some inquiries about the race being canceled due to rain showers in forecast. THE RACE WILL RUN RAIN OR SHINE. Have a great route picked out which will work wet or dry and is around 23 kilometers long. I just ask everyone who pre rides the course to only go around once, not 5 times,...

Porkies Hare Scramble possible date change

Hi everyone. Due to the continuing rain day after day we may have to move the race date to June 25,26th weekend. If the weather smartens up the race will go ahead as planned. A final decision will be made by Thursday afternoon. Please check the ADRA web site for info.
thanks John.
