Re: sound test porkies

I should clarify one point Primerib. If you beat me at Porkies this weekend you will continue to fail sound tests and may be disqualified - just kidding - I think - maybe -

Re: sound test porkies

As the "sound guy" for the ADRA I don't think we are going to stop anyone from racing if they are making an honest effort to meet the sound limit. I'm not sure that we are sound testing at Porkies, it's hard to find a large open flat space once everyone shows up. We did record everyones sound result...

Re: Hey Camping Gurus...

I recommend the 5000w built in Onan. Nice and quite and it will let you run the AC, Micro, toaster and coffee maker all at the same time. Thats camping!

Re: Noise level testing

The CMRC has adopted the FIM 2 metre max sound testing standard, so if you are planning on racing you should test to it as well. You can google search for a detailed procedure. I have never seen a $1000 sound tester at any event let alone properly trained sound testing personnel. I have been asked t...

Re: Man Made Obstacles in H/S and X/C racing

It was never brought up. The AGM this year really didn't have any issues to deal with. We made a few minor changes to the rules, no max age in the age classes, and some other small things I can't remember. We renewed our commitment to sound testing and adopted the FIM/AMA 2 metre max sound test proc...

Re: The 2011 Season is here..

The bump from B to A is sorta up to the comp committee. If you have earned the upgrade points you are welcome and encouraged to try your hand in the A class - but we also look at comparable race times. It may be possible that you are able to move up but your times are way off the A class, if this is...

Re: Xtinction 2011

Just got back from Xtinction. Spent the day watching pro riders ride up and down things I'm sure goats would think twice about. I took alot of pictures but they just don't put the terrain in perspective. Great event!
