Re: KTM/Husky TPI Bog

Yeah, It's a little hard to swallow.

I thought I would do a follow up as it would be a little douchy to blame the bike and feed into the TPI doom and gloom when it was clearly operator error.

Re: KTM/Husky TPI Bog

**UPDATE** The original thought was I had a failing crank pressure sensor. It was changed out in late October. With the warmer weather and bare roads I was able to take the bike for a test ride. It ran horrible and the rear wheel locked up. I took the bike to BFD, they tore it down and the problem w...

Re: KTM/Husky TPI Bog

Had the bike out this morning for more diagnostics. Managed to foul new 2 plugs. The were caked in carbon and the threads were dripping oil. I'm thinking there is an error in temp feedback. As mentioned before the bike starts of running great and then as soon as I really start putting it to work and...

Re: KTM/Husky TPI Bog

Thanks for getting back to me so fast trailguy. I took it to the dealership prior to this video and the results were: - diagnostic tool found no faulty sensors, the check-up came back clean. - fuel pressure was within spec. - CCPS tube had a small build up of carbon. Fitting and tube were cleaned ou...

KTM/Husky TPI Bog

Howdy. I own a 2020 TE 250i and up until now it has been the best bike I have owned to date. I am getting a really nasty bog.. details are in the video description. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, it's worth mentioning that i am not one of the TPI haters. All mechanical things break dow...

bikes abandoned at Whispering Pines

To the unfortunate individuals that were riding a 2017 6 days KTM 300 xcw and the 3 Beta's and had to leave them behind: you're closer to the quad trial than you think. Ride the frozen water, follow my tracks. Be careful, the water is melting fast, my front tire went through ice , it thaws you guys ...

Re: 2017/18 KTM/Husky Issues

Runger; i was the original author of this post. I can tell you with the adjustments made to the metering rod and combined with the extra compression of the head, my bike hits like a sledgehammer across the entire rev range. I use an fmf fatty for a smooth low end power and over rev. I have no intere...

Re: New Trail closure within Mclean

I always suspected that the eco-terrorists' assaults on the Mclean Creek PLUZ would be piecemeal, small closures here and there opposed to how they executed the castle mtn closure . Call me paranoid, but i think mclean is in their sights and it will be reduced to a couple of quad trails within a dec...

Mclean Grizzly Trail

Do any of you fine folks know the skinny on the log blockade that was added to the grizzly trail? It was located maybe 300m from the trail sign, it's that steep gradient that intersects the trial and leads to that fast meadow trail that runs parallel to Griz. Anyways... one weekend it's there, the n...

Re: Tubliss tire preference?

Trailguy - I took a look at the IRC, i like the tread pattern and the fact you mentioned it's stable at speed. The kenda can get a little squirrelly in 5th and 6th gear transfer sections. How many hours have you gotten out of one? I'm at peace with 20-25 hours on gummy before it self-destructs, but ...

Re: Tubliss tire preference?

I run a kenda IBEX on the rear and the traction is mind blowing. Grips everything and provides a plush ride. For the front, i've gone back and forth between the Bridgestone M59 and Starcross 5 medium. I have never been a fan of Michelin in the slightest.. but i would give the edge to the starcross f...

Re: Jetting TE300 2018 model ......Mikuni TMX 38

I tried to jet the Mikuni with factory hardware; massive disappointment. I tried to jet the Mikuni with the JD kit; disappointment. The Mikuni is too finicky, it does not tolerate temp and altitude changes well. Bought a HV Lectron and RK Tek head. Took a lot of time dial in. Most of it was me chasi...

Re: 2017/18 KTM/Husky Issues

Thanks for the Responses.

Boogle2 - I just might take you up on that offer. I'm going to try the red spring and look a little closer at the PV setting. The thought did occur to me that maybe the Gnarly would give me the low end torque I'm chasing, it worked wonders on my 2014.

2017/18 KTM/Husky Issues

Good Day, I have a 2018 Husky TX300 that I a trying to get dialed in before rubber tire riding season gets underway. I saw a recent post was created for the TX300, but I did not want to come across as hijacking it so I created this one. First impressions of the bike thus far are very positive; it’s ...
