Re: McLean Opener?

Trails were good. Not much for snow at all, in the trees was all dried up. Stayed high and east: connops, Prez, lone Ranger kinda stuff. Still a lot of run off on the north end of connops but a day or 2 and it'll be clear I figure.

Tread lightly

Re: Midwest Clutch

Tried some washers on the clutch spring retaining bolts to reduce the preload on them? Suppose to lighten it up a noticeable amount.

Re: WTB L Track tiedown

I bought mine on amazon.... I found the large track (E track? or H maybe can't recall) for generally car hauler tie downs was easy to find locally but the smaller stuff was not. But I did lengths on the inside of the truck box and one in the middle on the bed, and my god it is so fantastic for strap...

Paul at Quality Transmission did my 727 slushbox. And a couple buddies GM auto's, with a solid warranty.

Can't recommend him enough.

Re: Road plated.

I don't see any of the bikes above listed on the transport Canada website as being legal roadworthy bikes. ttwest, Can you link me this list? Didn't mean to spark an argument over legality. Just curious is all. All the reading I did through there regulations ans such I never came across a list that...

Re: Road plated.

Thanks LID, I got the Sicass kit for the 200 so I believe it's like the stock 500 stuff from what I looked at. Going to have to change the rear lights on the GG as they didn't last the weekend, one slip in the snow and crunch on a tree.. we'll try some flush mounted style one's on the tail. Or at le...

Re: Road plated.

'13 KTM XC-W and a '13 Gasser EC300 Both had the option of Class 3-MC or Class 3-OHV. I just asked the registry to change the vehicles class, paid the difference cost more because you use the roads and then you just need to meet Alberta vehicle safety requirements. (reflectors, horn, signals, etc.)....

Road plated.

So I got the 200 and 300 road plated. All the necessary dual sport doo-dads have been added. They don't seem like they will be in the way for once off the road.. will find out more on Saturday with a little jaunt out to Mclean. But I was curious to see if any one else had there bikes set up for the ...

Re: Linkage Protection?

In the same boat curerntly..

I'm trying to source some 1/4" UHMW sheet (same plastic they make chain slide and guides from)... cut a chunk 5"x10" (ish) bolt it on the back of the skid plate..

I would think it should provide enough impact protection.. not forever but easy to replace.

Re: Tech Tip - Servicing your suspension linkage

Serviced my first linkage this year. All previous bike were PDS. All went well except.... it appeared the rocker arm had taken one too many unprotected bashes on some rock... Look more like () less like O .. so had to replace the whole piece not just bearings  All in all was very fun :ap...
