Easy. XC has close ratio tranny while the W has a wider ratio. In real life the choice is moot as if you don't have money down on a XC already then you aren't going to own one anytime soon.

The JD kit was great for my 525. The two needles and all the main jets are handy if you are riding at a lower/higher elevs. Cleaned my throttle response up too.

Yup I plan to pick up some Trelleborgs for the winter. My new to me bike came with a Pirelli Scorpion pro and it was very impressive. Up until then I was a die hard Michelin M12 front guy. The Moose was a great HS layout, the organizers did a great job. Nice course, fast and not too dusty. It was nice to ride some of the old trails again.
