Re: 5 year old child Rider - Do we really need a plate on the bike

I was in the same position with my kid on his PW. I ended up getting the bike registered and the insurance from state farm (about$70 at the time). I found if you have the papers, they usually overlook the lack of lights on the PW and you spend 5 minutes chatting instead of an hour arguing the finer ...

Yam IT200 rear shocker

Hi All, I just had my suspension serviced on my 85 IT. Forks no problem, cleaned, new bushings, seals etc. The rear, they couldnt get the head seal out, pressurised the shock to 200 PSI and hammered and wrenched on it but the seal wouldnt pop out so they flushed the old oil and recharged it. I was r...

Re: IRC-M5B backwards ?

I guess its gonna depend on your riding style. For me, if I get stuck on a hill on my underpowered old style 2 stroke, I have to wind the motor up, spin the wheel, burn the clutch and pedal like a monkey. But the guys on newer 4 strokes with low end grunt can take advantage of the grip and just roll...

IRC-M5B backwards ?

Any tire experts out there? I just had GW install an M5B on my old Yam IT200. I think they were thrown off by the fact that the sprocket is on the right where most bikes have the sprocket on the left. Anyway the thing is on backwards. I was going to take it back and ask them to reverse it but I noti...

Re: IT200 wont kick

Turns out the replacement stator source coil I installled in the identical configuration to the original worked better when it was flipped 180 degrees. I got spark in both direction but the source voltage to the CDI must have been out of phase or whatever until I flipped it. Anyway all is good and I...

Re: IT200 wont kick

I took a MAP torch to the expansion chamber to burn out any spooge - smoke came out both ends. The can looked clear and its just a straight through with a can to hold the packing. You could be right though, i'll see if it will kick without the pipes

Thanks
