Re: New Chain & Sprockets

I just installed a new RK XW-ring last week. I went for a ride and it stayed together. :D

Re: New Chain & Sprockets

I always use the DID X-ring chain. I also replace a lot of front 13T sprockets. Doesn't seem to matter much what the sprockets are, IMO. The chain is always the catalyst for rear sprocket replacement because I'd rather not replace a chain but not the sprockets. So a fancy super long life sprocket do...

Re: Areas to ride outside of OHV Ban?

Came here to ask the same question. I'm looking to find some trails for this weekend in the Kiska/Wilson area, just wondering if anyone has rode much out there? http://aep.alberta.ca/recreation-public-use/recreation-on-public-land/bighorn-backcountry/documents/KiskaWillsonAreaMap-Mar2017A.pdf It's ...

Re: 2012 Ktm 350 XC-F

I ride without the W because of the transmission gearing, engine tune, suspension settings. The XC/XCF is a rough ride when going slow over rough single-track but it smooths out when the speed increases. The engine is more aggressive and revs faster (smaller flywheel weight usually). It comes with a...

Re: Areas to ride outside of OHV Ban?

There doesn't seem to be much information for the North Saskatchewan region. I think it may be because the NSRP wasn't done yet? Anyway, I saw a bunch of quads and bikes staging at various spots on the Coal Camp road (it starts at 9 km west of Sundre ) on the weekend. A few places along the road the...

Re: 2012 Ktm 350 XC-F

The engine for the 350 XCF changed in 2013. The 2013 model was the first of four of these that I owned and that was because the crank doubled in life on the KTM maintenance schedule from 12 to 13. 50 to 100 hours if memory serves correctly. That told me that the reliability of the engine was accepta...

Alberta trail maps

Here is the link where you can find geo-referenced maps for Avenza. The link works today but they seem to change their web site URLs constantly. http://aep.alberta.ca/recreation-public-use/recreation-resources.aspx You will have to use up most of your allotted Avenza free maps to load both Ghost and...

Re: Chain Saw recommendations?

My Echo is over 10 years old. I've broken some parts on it from crashing with it and replaced others from wear. The parts have been there for me and I don't feel that I need to replace it anytime soon. The biggest thing for me is having a carrier for the bike that fits the saw.

Re: Chain Saw recommendations?

Echo 360T has been great for me carrying it on the bike and cutting some pretty big lumber.
