Re: Grizzly Trail Logging

Things are happening fast out there so I'm just hoping for some clarification: Horizon South is - gone or preserved? Horizon North is - gone or preserved? Swany's is getting logged but the trail is going to be preserved? Jonny 2 Skidoos is going to be gone? Outlaw and That 70's are going to be - go...

Re: Grizzly Trail Logging

When are they starting on Swany’s? I would like to ride it one last time before half the mountain is cut down. Also how much of Johnny two skidoo and Viagra will be impacted? Along with Outlaw and the bottom portion of That 70’s trail being prepared it’s going to take away a 1/4 of the nicest single...

Re: McLean Forest Fire

Since no one has mentioned it, there is a large area closed, not sure if people are accessing it or not. https://www.albertaparks.ca/media/6494630/championlakesfire_mcleanclosure_1june2018.pdf Closure - McLean Creek Road May 27, 2018 Effective Date: June 1-30, 2018 Where: McLean Creek Road: The port...

Re: McLean Opener?

This is where I wish the clubs had more power to influence the Province to keep an area closed longer to allow more time for the trails to improve, rather risk them becoming worse because of conditions. Sure there are numerous amounts of us who can pick and choose to ride sections which aren't as d...

Re: Anyone heading to Montana Soon?

Thanks for the feedback Takethebounce I really do appreciate it! We do stock and sell the low Husky Powerparts Seat you had mentioned not sure why you were told otherwise? I’m sorry to hear that. Once again I really do appreciate your (and all customers) feedback as at the end of the day we can onl...

Re: Anyone heading to Montana Soon?

Hey guys just curious as I see these posts often. For all I know you guys are buying computer parts but as this is a motorcycle forum I would assume you are talking bike parts? I know I'm putting my neck out there but I really do care to find out why so much effort is made by some people not to buy...

Re: Who has a XTrainer?

don't rule out a KTM freeride. The torque of that 250 is very forgiving and the light weight is noticeably different than a fullsize 300. I have met a few men that trail ride and race them and they love them. My wife has one and I have spent lots of time playing on it and I am impressed by how func...

Re: Who has a XTrainer?

Thanks scuba! I have ridden a 300RR as one of my buddies has one. I have been riding orange since 2012 so it’s hard to go to something new when you know the layout of the other bikes. I have scoured the forums and I know a 300 in any iteration is a bike I will obviously never outgrow but the lighter...

Who has a XTrainer?

A new house was on the way last year so I felt compelled to free up cash and sell my 200XCW. While I made the bike all that it could be to satisfy my riding it was maybe a good time to move on and try something new. When the Xtrainer came out I thought I might be interested but I have yet to see one...

Re: New Helmet Law

I am willing to put cold beers on a chance that there will be an issue at some point in the next six months involving a Fish/Wildlife Officer and someone trying to defend that their helmet is compliant. There is no mention of DOT stickers/compliance being an accepted rating (because of how it is wri...

Re: SNOWbike...how do you know?

In my experience a lot of guys riding snow bikes are not banging them off the limiter. Real decent riders are, but they are doing that on dirt as well. With the gear reduction of the track kits there isn't a lot of load on them. If it was just running a track kit there won't be a lot of tell tale si...

Re: Ohilins Steering Damper and Intermediate Exaust Flange

With the Ohlins, does it come with the top race or would I need to order a new one for my bike?

I will take the exhaust flange though! I can pick up anywhere in Calgary just about anytime this week.

Re: provincewide fire ban

McLean is a large area with very different conditions in different areas. While Fisher South for example may have been damp, Swany's, 1990, Quirk, Priddis, and a few others on Tuesday were very crunchy. On a +35km loop I have never seen them this dry this early. Looking South and West from the top t...
