Re: Kids 2 Stroke for woods bikes?

Thanks for the information everyone. After going back and forth on this one I think we have settled on giving the 2 stroke a shot, my son was adamant that he is ready. I found a 65 sx for a reasonable price. Hopefully my kid doesn't scare the heck out of himself! Probably will be good to start with ...

Kids 2 Stroke for woods bikes?

My kid is outgrown his CRF70 and looking to get him a larger bike, the KX 65 / KTM 65 / YZ 65 fit him but they are set up more for MX. We do mostly woods riding, does anyone have any experience with their kid having an MX style bike in the woods (good or bad)? The other option would be to have a CRF...

Prairie Creek Campground - Near Caroline

Hi just checking if anyone has ridden out near Prairie Creek Campground, North West of Caroline / South West of Rocky Mountain House. Looks like there is a ATV campground nearby. Let me know if it's worth bringing the bikes.

Greg.

Re: Neck Braces

When I started riding a few years ago I started with the Fox Titan pressure suit with a Leatt neck brace. It did not fit well and the only way I could get it to work better was to remove a few of the upper back plates on the Fox and duct tape the Velcro on the back to allow the rear strut of the Lea...

Re: Trailer vs Toy Hauler

K been looking into the new and used market and my cheapness is kicking in. Anyone ever consider a tent trailer? I know the typical cons of not as much privacy, set up and tear down can be a pain and you have to dry them out, but the positives are light weight, easy storage and CHEAP!!! I have also ...

Re: Trailer vs Toy Hauler

I would be careful with this as well. I am just coming from a 1/2 ton F150 Ecoboost and it had a tow rating of about 11,000 pounds. That truck pulled our 9800 LB GVWR bumper pull trailer with authority, BUT, when faced with any serious wind it made for a very sketchy ride and a seriously anxious wi...

Trailer vs Toy Hauler

Hi just looking if anyone has opinions / experience on hauling a trailer with the bikes in the back of their truck vs a toy hauler. I've got a half ton truck and I would be close to the limit if I put my families dirt bikes in the box (2 adult size and 2 kid 70 cc size) and haul a travel trailer. Th...

Lost Skid Plate

Washing the bike tonight and noticed my skid plate missing. Could be on police and fire games or more likely near a log on the trails South of 5k. It's a black plastic skid plate. I can't get back there until the weekend. If someone runs across it let me know and I can meet you to pick it up. Thanks.

Re: Women’s Bike Suggestions

Hey, my wife just had her first year of off road riding. I really wanted her to give the KTM Freeride a shot (mostly because I wanted to borrow it) but she settled on the new Kawasaki KLX 140G. She absolutely loves it and it was a great choice for a starter bike. Nice and low for her to touch on rou...

Re: Areas to ride outside of OHV Ban?

Made it to Limestone Mountain just West of Sundre on the weekend. Not much single track. There are a bunch of rocky quad trails and some crazy rocky/steep cut-lines that were a lot of work. Parked just past the Limestone Compressor station (this is the map for where the compressor station is at http...
