Re: Ever ride a serious bike with out a shifter
They knew how to build a fabulous bike and truly a hand built machine. It came with a nice tag with the signature on the bars from the lad who assembled your bike. I chat with 2 of them from the old factory on facebook. 1 owns a 88 AE like me in Sweden. 12301700_10153891478960832_5417204263564743098...

Re: Ever ride a serious bike with out a shifter
A&E used to have a 430 still in the crate. Where is that place, never heard of that 1? Have 2 friends with a crated 87. 1 sold for $5500 US a few months ago. 19029469_1695008700510794_7272588685475608275_n.jpg 1987 was a bad year for small Husky dealers. They never bought many bikes and the future ...

Re: Ever ride a serious bike with out a shifter
Do some internal mods and have it totally safe and reliable. Some guys have 25k on their autos ;) (86 & 87) Got friends all over the globe to lean on for support and parts. No Restoration, its near mint where it matters to me. Occasional rider, i like to switch bikes to ride a lot. I only restored 2...

Re: Ever ride a serious bike with out a shifter
Some of the really tricked out AEs (automatic enduro) have many serious add ons. They add a sprocket shaft driven oil pump that goes to a oil filter then up to a oil cooler and back to the trans. From drain plug to oil fill cap. Guys have added a rear brake lever where the clutch lever is on a norma...

Re: Ever ride a serious bike with out a shifter
He sure did and the issues were the springs broke. New springs are being remade. They have a better plate to upgrade with now that covers them and a tab to lock the primary drive nut.It keeps springs in place so they cant jam up a gear if it breaks. Easy to pull apart, no case splitting for gears, c...

Ever ride a serious bike with out a shifter
Been looking high and low for one, had to have a water cooled 430.
The hare scramble cheater bike of the good old days.
I found this in the states, maybe 5 88s made.
Super clean, well set up and maintained low miles.
3 gears

Re: Road plated.
I went through a few hoops to get my enduro on the street. It needed to pass a out of province inspection to get registration on a bike from BC. I needed DOT tires, horn, mirror, brake light switches and installed some signal lights for a day. Its legal and I ride beside cops and get all kinds of lo...

Sounds like a blast!
Can a guy or gal join in without a RMDRA membership and do you need a number or CMA membership?
First race for me and might ask a few friends to join in.
Thanks
Steve
