YZ125 Jetting Specs for MacLean Creek
Anyone here have a MacLean jetting set-up for a YZ125 they can share? My friend's son has had nothing but grief even after a JD kit; not really looking for "how-to" jet advice as I'm reasonably familiar with it all...was hoping somebody might have settings that worked for them with this bike. Thanks...

Re: Neck Braces
I have the Leatt 6.5 Carbon model and really like it; it fits well with my Leatt Adventure vest and is generally not even noticeable. Only time I notice it is when trying to look really far ahead on a downhill and even then it isn't a big deal.

Re: Chest protectors
I use a Leatt Adventure Vest (no sleeves, just front and back protection with a removeable kidney belt) but the Leatt HD5.5 Chest protector is the same or better if you don't want the vest set-up. Don't want to start a debate here but the Leatt stuff (and some other good safety gear) has specificati...

Re: Convincing Wife to Let Children Ride
I pretty much knew what I was in for with the Vitards; I laughed out loud and hung my head in shame with each post. Some diamond in the rough posts there though.

Convincing Wife to Let Children Ride
Now that my twins are 5 I am mentally preparing myself for the pending "discussion" (all-out war) with my wife about getting bikes. I think a StacyC is a good step but she is no dummy and knows exactly what the next step after the eBike will be. My wife is not a fan of bikes as a result of some of t...

Re: Suggestions on who to call to remove this screw? Machine Shop?
Thanks for the tips fellows. It is very strange as my friend kept telling me that he tried numerous drill bits of different types and they would not do anything at all. I told him I didn't believe him and he took it to a machine shop who also had no luck with their drill press and multiple bits. The...

Suggestions on who to call to remove this screw? Machine Shop?
A friend tried to install the Slavens Mule EZ Idle Screw for his Husky 300 TPI and is having some issues. In spite of heating the (I can't type without swearing. The word that I used is one of GC's 7 words that you can not say on television.) out the stock screw he cannot get the thing out and has s...

Re: AER48 Oil Level
Update on this - I had Ken @ Blackfoot Direct revalve these with a "Hard Enduro" setting he has been working on and the forks are very, very good now. They were great at the MX track Saturday and with a few clicks less compression they were excellent at MacLean Creek yesterday. I will still play wit...

2008 300XCW Service Manual - Anybody have one?
I about to tear into the engine on a friend's 2008 KTM 300XC-W; the bike has been horribly neglected, the air filter split and there is 1/8" of grit in the carb mouth. The rest of the bike is just as thrashed so it may end up on the scrap heap, we'll see. I offered to assist by assessing the damage ...

Re: AER48 Oil Level
I always bleed forks cold on stand with front wheel off ground and do the same for my air pressure. I will keep playing but am making progress, at the track at least. They are working much better than my re-valved cartridge forks on my 2013 300, just not perfect yet. I will bump up the air and try a...

Re: AER48 Oil Level
Forks aren't bottoming, but as mentioned, the zip tie is 1-1/2 to 2" from bottoming. I know it's quite a low air pressure and the tuner who revalved them also says it's too low (minimum in manual is 102ps howeveri) and I need to try them at MacLean but they feel good at the track. I can finally feel...

Re: AER48 Oil Level
In case any one with AER48's is wondering I had success taking 20ml oil out of each fork leg. I am pretty big (235lbs w/o gear) and probably pretty slow compared to many on this site and found my AER48 forks harsh so I took MXA's advice and used a zip tie on one fork leg and kept lowering the air pr...
