2005 KTM 300exc
Due to relocating I am selling my 300. bike has about 168hrs total on it, but was completely rebuild from end to end the winter of 2011, with about 40hrs put on last season. The motor has 2011 top end-cylinder, piston, ignition(with map switch), SXS head that has been cut and reshaped by Mike at Cyc...

Re: Helmet Cam's
Well I think I got it, went for a ride yesterday, it was nice out but cold, only rode for about 45min. due to my hands freezing and going numb/cramping up. Think I need to aim the camera up a bit, but otherwise OK, I think. http://vimeo.com/32119237 OK, how do you embed vimeo here? Tried the embed c...

Re: Helmet Cam's
Thanks Joe,
I am a PC user, but was kinda thinking of getting a Mac. will play around with what I have, didnt know it was built in already.
What about mounting the camera to the helmet, use the Velcro or double sided tape?

Re: 2012 KTM Throttle Cable Routing
I think it happens on all KTM bikes, old or new frame. 1 - I use the longer throttle cable as trailguy suggested routing through the front of the triple clamp like a Japanese bike. MotionPro or Honda CR250 throttle cable. 2 - Also, I did a "how to" session at our meeting in the spring about how to ...

Re: Mud in 2-Stroke Engine
If the bike has been sitting with muddy water in the lower crankcase for two weeks, more than likely, the crank bearings are rusty. Not good. If it was mine, I'd replace them to be safe, don't need a blown bottom end out on the trails.

Re: Porkies HS
Ya, I stopped and talked to him also. Outer clutch cover broken, inner cover broken, part of the right main case broken, and the clutch basket broken as well. No skid plate........He was OK, the crash looked worse then he described it. Glad he was OK. Kids, they bounce better than us old farts. Earl

Re: Closed course competition sticker
Dont know if you are importing a bike for track use or for the trails, but. If the bike is for use on public land and you want an off-road plate, you will need to go through the RIV program. When I imported my 300, the boarder agents saw the 'closed course' stickers on it and told me I did not need ...
