Do you have the stock accelerator pump? If so put it back on. The 250x's come from the factory with a good accelerator pump, float bowl and diaphragm setup. If you don't want to worry about the batteries and the GPS can be powered by USB you can add one of these to your bike to power the GPS from the bike. As indicated above the two best choices are probably the Vista HCx and the 60CSx. The 60CSx is bigger (+bigger screen), has a somewhat better antenna (+ability to add external antenna) and is more expensive. I also think the Vista is mounts better (I have a Vista). They both will work for your needs...
