Re: Remembering my Mom...

Tom,

First off, my condolences to you and your family. Unfortunately I know what it feels like to lose your mom. Be thankful, you had a great one. Second, thanks for posting this, although it made me cry at work, it made me think of my mom.

Re: Honda OIL - type - not best

Pilsung2-Thanks for destinguishing between JASO MA and MB as MB could cause clutch problems. FYI-for any one that may have put JASO MB or other "friction modified" oil in the clutch, don't worry your bike is not going to crater from this, you'll probably just have to replace your clutch plates and c...

For those that are unsure. Yes, it is electric start, but still has the kick starter.

Re: Honda OIL

IMHO the best answer you can get is "use what your manual asks". I've also researched this including a popular discussion on a product called "rotella" which many others have probably also researched. There are hundreds of discussions out there on the topic of OIL and everyone seems to have their m...

Wow, I thought they were very shy animals. Guess they know a hearty meal when they see it.

Re: Second Gear Club HS in April?

A lot of riders were jumping the teeter totters, particularly in the higher classes. Jumping was probably worth a couple or three seconds a lap vs riding over them and probably closer to 10 seconds vs going under the bar (as long as you didn't crash jumping). Riding over was nice because it gave you...

Re: Second Gear Club HS in April?

The other thing I found with the really short course was the amount passing you had to do. You had your choice, follow and waste time until an easy pass opportunity showed up or take some chances to pass and maybe go down. This was a fine line for me which resulted in some untimely dumps.

Re: Second Gear Club HS in April?

Teeter totters were definitely interesting as they took forever to fall. The view was great when up top waiting for the fall. Definitely different then riding in the woods, with no trees, roots or rocks. Was a good decision to remove the hills, particularly the one coming up to the time check as it,...

Re: Blackfoot Parts Dept.

This sounds like a relatively recent problem. I have called Blackfoot for parts info in the past, and yes often no one picks up and I have to leave a message, but I can't remember not getting a call back within a reasonable amount of time.

Re: pressure washer suggestions?

Again depends what you are using it for. I've got a Karcher I bought from XS Cargo for $100 four years ago. Works great washing the bike, garage door, deck, etc... For a $100 I don't think it owes me anything and when it dies, I'll go buy another one.

Re: Rekluse or not?

Wow, this is the greatest setup I think I've ever seen. I've never been very good with moving the shift lever with my foot. I seem to always shift fully between gears. With the extra feel of shifting using my hand I can probably get the false neutrals I have trouble with much easier.
