Re: 2012 KTM 300xc front brembo brake wiggle - normal?
thanks for posting the video Jared, appreciated. OK I will have to try that and see if the disc is straight. I will also try to remount the front wheel to ensure it is sitting properly (forks aligned properly?)... Not sure if I'll get to it tonight or not but will post an update when I can. Thanks a...

Re: 2012 KTM 300xc front brembo brake wiggle - normal?
I was very careful when mounting the new disc, there was nothing between the disc and the hub (I wiped everything with a clean cloth first). I hand started all screws and then tightened using torque wrench in various stages working up to the specified setting, using a star pattern to ensure that it ...

Re: 2012 KTM 300xc front brembo brake wiggle - normal?
Is it wiggling up and down or side to side? If looking at the Brembo itself standing towards the back of the bike, looking towards the front of the bike and watching it while the wheel is spinning, it looks like it is from side to side - i.e. the top will move out then back in - the little black pl...

Re: 2012 KTM 300xc front brembo brake wiggle - normal?
Some very minor wiggle is possible if your wheel bearings are done? More importantly, how does your brake work? Can you feel any pulsation in the lever, does it stay solid and does it have reasonably good power? If the answer to these questions is yes, stop worrying, it's good. I know I have not do...

2012 KTM 300xc front brembo brake wiggle - normal?
OK, I originally had the issue of the front brake stopping working unless I pumped it - I could see the brembo brake (is it called the caliper?) wiggling as the wheel was turning, thinking that the disc was bent a bit, which would cause the pads to move away from the disc - pumping the brake moved t...

Re: 2012 KTM 300xc front brake rotor/disc torque value?
Thanks all, I will give it a go and will add a bit of more blue locktite as well, just as extra precaution. Appreciate it.

Re: 2012 KTM 300xc front brake rotor/disc torque value?
Thanks Scott, the new bolts for the disc look like they have yellow lock tite on them already, should I add a bit of blue too? Can you mix them? Is there a maximum torque that you think I should not exceed before getting to "pretty tight" LOL. Hope your summer is going great!

2012 KTM 300xc front brake rotor/disc torque value?
Does anyone know the proper torque value for when installing a new brake disc onto the front wheel? I will continue to look through my manual, trying to understand what the manual may actually call this part/bolt as it pertains to torque values. Would 14 NM sound right? Any insight would be great. T...

Re: 2012 KTM 300xc electric start - won't start?
Thanks for all the info guys, it was tested again the other day after sitting again for the last few months on trickle charger and all seemed to be working. So that confirmed my starter was OK and the battery seemed to be OK too. I have to assume that when I initially tried it out, the battery may n...

2012 KTM 300xc electric start - won't start?
At the end of last year riding season, I bought a new YUASA YTX5L-BS battery off our forum and I heard that these types of batteries (unlike the Ballistics, etc. type - lithium?) don't always start the bike cold, but work OK once the bike has been running a bit. When I was testing it last year, I go...

Thanks for all the info guys, I will give it a go once I can pick up the connector since I couldn't get down there today before they closed. I appreciate it. Enjoy the weekend riding.

Where to find electrical wiring connector...
that will allow you to wire it to a rear light, but actually plug into the factory rear brake connector (2012 KTM 300 xc), so I don't have to splice into the factory wiring or cut it off? I am trying to find smaller bullet type wire ends that I might be able to fit inside the factory connector, and ...
