Re: 2017 TE300 Forks?

Well, I am a steer now, so maybe it's the one for me?? Or maybe its a YZ250X. I'm torn... The only experience I have with the explore forks was at the demo ride on the XCWs. I have to say that they were really god, and the track had enough hack (I think) to tell. The only downsides I can think of a...

Re: Off Road Insurance

I used the info on this thread, and ended up with Intact. Touchstone was/is the broker, and were great to deal with.

Re: Where do you send your aer48 air forks for revalve

The suspension needs time to break in. After 10 or 20 hours re-evaluate and go from there. I was going to say this as well. The new KTM air fork is killer right out of the box. The clickers also provide a huge range of adjustability, and with the near limitless spring rates it's very tunable. It's ...

I don't like animals. Particular species to avoid: Dobimonster: lizard with an infectious bite. 350Scott: scientific name for rabid coyote. Axel99: tick known to carry the hillbilly virus. Brassutang: well endowed ape of some kind. AJRJ: Short form for Animus Jovinious RankJerkous. Cousin to the Hi...

Re: Helmet design - fyi

I've been Very happy with my Klim F4 Helmet, the ECE version. No MIPs, but a well though out helmet with easy liner removal and an indestructible visor. I forget the exact weight, but the ECE version is quite a bit lighter than the DOT. From what I understand the tests are similar, but DOT requires ...

I've never been a 350 guy, but I second Dbs' opinion, I'd search for a 13+.

I tried 2 registries that denied it. Then Went to AMA with the wife and they put it through. Once we made it very clear to them it was OHV only it was no issue at all putting it through.

Re: Sound Testing

The FIM recommends the "2 metre Max" method.

The mic is 2m away from the exhaust outlet at 45 degrees, and the motorcycle is help at max RPM for 1 second.

Re: Sound Testing

Well, it depends :D Some 450s are quieter (Honda) or louder (Kawasaki) with KTMs somewhere in the middle? Most bikes should pass the FIM test that's randomly employed now. For the spark arrestor it is not required to deviate from stock, but encouraged. We all want to be responsible in our new enviro...
