Re: Valve Cover Bolts

I was under the impression the theads were already repaired with heli coils, if they pulled out you cannot repair a second time with heli coils. Good luck

Re: Kooc closures

Interesting, We run into some of the ranchers on the East side of FT road and have only had positive encounters. They use alot of the historic single track and quad trails for managing thier cattle on quads and horse back. They seem to like having passable trails. I believe its one fellow on the wes...

Re: Do you Rekluse?

If you have a KTM 4T (not a SXF) that flames out and 4cs forks that ride like a stiff board. Use $350 of the cash for a rekluse and install compression adj on the bottom of your forks and turn up the idle to atleast 1400rpm. No you have one of the best working 4T machines you can buy. Take the $400...

Re: Battery Life/Maintenance

If you ride you bike once a week it should be fine unless you use the starter alot, like a couple of times every 10min of riding. Learn to stop where you can easily bump start your bike to save wear and tear on your battery and starter. Lead Acid batteries when not maintained or left in a low charge...

Re: Kooc closures

What a disappointment. With these closures, the castle closures, and now word of an MLA wanting to shut down a bunch of riding in the Ghost/Waiparous area, it seems like one can almost see the end of the great trail riding we have at our fingertips here in Calgary. Which local MLA are you referring...

Re: KTM EFI 2 strokes

The tank size shouldn't be a concern, since its likley the FI bike can go farther on less fuel. Its the weight and price, 6+ pounds is crazy. I step ahead 2 steps back. The 196W alternator doesnt make sense on a XC, unless your running a microwave to heat your burritos while you night ride. Hopefull...

Re: LED Light Bar??

yep, you can get significant amperage drop through a switch. Its the weak point and bottleneck in most wiring design. The solution is to incorporate a relay in you design. I am surprised the switch was a issue with a LED as they are low wattage relative to halogen bulbs. You must have a really crapp...

Re: Tire Change with Moose Bibs?

Simple floor tire changer with a bead breaker and 3 of the longer Irons with the cured ends makes it very dooable. The bead breaker helps get the tire near the drop center. Make sure the the moose is proper size for your tire otherwise it will pop off or you will never get it on. If you struggle at ...
