Re: OHV equipment act / What does my bike need ??
Does anyone know what the Alberta laws are for people visiting from BC? Visitors will now have a license plate, but in BC they dont need insurance. Will this incur a ticket in Alberta? I know if you go the other way the BC law is that Alberta residents need to comply with Alberta rules. I am not sur...

Re: Parking at Fisher East (5K)
When I drove by on Tuesday after reading this thread, I noticed that on the west side there is a small section of area which is "protected" with signs. Were the people past those signs perhaps?

Re: Parking at Fisher East (5K)
I know that grassy area (west side) at Fisher East is where they land STARS if they are called in. Could there be a directive to keep that area clear?
It would be more productive and effective if they just posted signs to that effect.
What is the ticket for? Destruction of grasslands or something?

Can you imagine if the news actually ran a story like that? Showing how OHV clubs were making responsible decisions?

Smashed pipe from 300/250 KTM
I only need the part that goes into the motor, and about 4-5 inches of the pipe past where it inserts into the cylinder.
I have a freeride that I am converting from 250 to 300, and I need to weld that connection piece to my existing pipe.
Thanks

Re: Finding a trail help please
My riding buddies and I called the top of Swanys "quark ridge" for years. I am pretty sure there were maps (from the SRD) years ago that called that "quark" or "quirk" mountain. Since the RMDRA calls a different trail altogether Quirk, it can be confusing. Yes, Swany's is on Quirk Ridge, however if...

Re: Snow Warning!
There is a LOT on Swanys, and the ground is frozen a lot harder up there than it is in the lower elevations. I would not recommend going up there on rubber.

Re: Ride Conditions (Ghost or Mclean)
We just got back from the SE corner of mclean and there is a fair bit of snow in the low lying area's (3-4").
Riding without studs gets sketchy in sections, I would recommend you run them if you have them.
