Hello
Been a while since I have been on here. I am back on the horse after about 4 years. I think that is long enough to recover from injury.....my nick name was "crash" to some lol. Paid up my membership fee to show my support for all the hard work this club has done. Might see y'all on the trails :thumb...

Re: Stolen Bike!
`Rosenberger`is stamped on the head where the power valve housing is. There is also a metal tab sticking out at the head because it is a metal gasket.

Re: Stolen Bike!
This blows. I have had a bike stolen in the past, even though I had locked it up with what I thought was a solid cable... Now I store my bike with no rear wheel on it while in the garage (or leave it in pieces scattered around the garage...). It is a big deterrent to a thief if he can't easily roll...

Re: Stolen Bike!
Brutal! Did they break into your garage? Have you thought of a YZ250FX as a replacement? They literally smashed there way in and I didn't even hear them. My room is fairly close to the garage entrance. I was actually going to get a security system for the house next week but...

Re: Premix ratio
Exactly....pick a ratio and jet accordingly. Might as well try 30:1 because measuring 500mls of oil to 15 liters of petrol (your average jerry can size) is so much easier than 32:1 and the difference is almost insignificant.vonbraun wrote:you have to jet it for the change

Re: repacking Turbine Core 2
I popped the rivets off my turbine core 2 and gave a good blast of heat and a good wire brush treatment. It can get a good build up of carbon and start to restrict the exhaust.

Re: New Yamaha
Disappointments: front brake, while it's very smooth and progressive, it just takes more effort than ktms. Found that to be the same case for all my yammies. My issues were the steep twisty down hills were the front had a tendency to lock-up because you had apply a lot of pressure for more stopping...
