Re: licence plate
Section 18(3) of the OHV Regulations states, "The owner of an OHV must attach the licence plate ... securely to the front or rear of the OHV so that the plate is clearly visible." Thats it. There is nothing that states where on the front or back the plate must be afixed or from where it must be vis...

Some friends of mine have been using the same 2 & 3 liter Platypus hydration bladders for years and when they empty them they just roll them up and fit them back in there packs.

Re: Lots of Shooting Activity
Many of us have been commenting on the increase of shooters the past two seasons, I wonder has there been range closers in the area or something? Along with the safety issue is the mess many of these shooting groups are leaving, it's brutal! It's one more irresponsible user group the area didn't nee...

Re: Wheel bearing question
I run 2 sets of rims, my bikes 2010 and I'm just about to install my 3rd spacer sets & wheel bearings. Repack 2 or 3 times a year depending of where I've been riding.
This whole topic makes me giggle, everybody has to pay educational tax, some people just deserve to pay more!

Re: Wheel bearing question
Here are a couple things that work for me, but what do I know I pop the shields off almost every bearing I've ever changed, using an o-ring pick for removal and my thumb nail to reinstall & have never damaged one. Then I flush the sad little bit of grease the manufacture ships them with and then I r...

Re: *update* Main bearing REALLY stuck on crank
Was there any galling or any other damage on the shaft?
Before you buy a new one, if that's the only damage, dress it up with a machinists file & emery paper, mic it, if its still with in tolerances put a new bearing on it.

Re: husaberg starters
I wish I didn't have all the experience I do with these starters but I do, so here's some of my lessons that might save somebody some time If your shimming is correct and you always initially start your bike when it's cold with the kick starter, at 65hrs it might need a rebuild kit, but probably jus...

a whistle
instead of JB Weld I carry 2" of two part appoxy putty
I've always want to add a package of Quikclot but it's a bugger to get outside the US so until I do, a waiver release so you can kick the body over the edge might come in handy.
