Re: Has anyone tried the Leatt helmets?

As a result of a recent concussion and subsequent google-fu, I am sold on the MIPS and leatt turbine core technologies that can reduce initial rotational forces in a impact. I have a 2018 (new) 5.5 composite and it’s really nice, nearly as light as the suomy, but fits my head better, I would say if ...

Acklands.

$60.90 for a 110" section, they have the recessed, surface and angled styles.

Re: WTB L Track tiedown

Yes the e track seems a much cleaner and modular solution - e track is ok for the old trailer, but the moto-van deserves a step up. :D
Bit spendy, and so far like eff all for local sources, prefer to drop bucks locally as opposed to the web, if I can.

Re: 4CS fork revalve question

Depending how handy you are, Kreft will ship the valve stacks and base valves for you to install at home, saving some coin but ymmv.

Re: 4CS fork revalve question

I did a set of 14's with Kreft and they work good, however on a 570 dualsport and that was the recipe I asked for.

Re: Cell Coverage - MacLean Creek

Rogers here. Intermittent at north staging, nada at the other stagings or along Maclean creek trail. Top of world, barwell, cloud nine, swanees peaks all good.

Think the all main providers sublet towers to one another now.

Ps InReach - great EVERYWHERE

Re: Helmet design - fyi

I went with 2018 Leatt GPX v5.5 composite, local rep had a new one he dropped off for a fitment test, all the old 2017 "L" inventory was showing out of stock. This has LEATT's version of MIPS. I liked it, and was told 2018 stock will be a while arriving yet, so I bought it. Weight advertis...

Re: Helmet design - fyi

I am in the market for a new brain bucket, after a few years of running Suomy Mr Jumps, and a recent biff that left me with a Grade 1 concussion, no PCS after 72 hours, but 2 weeks no riding. I don't blame the helmet; it and the Atlas brace did their job, as it was not a fast get off, but an unexpec...

Re: What Bibs to buy??

Buddies have tried other brands with mixed results. I stick with the michelins because I now know what tires they fit, how to tune the feel, and the overall durability, given the install effort and expense i stick with what I know. Everybody says they're expensive, but it's really not that much more...

Re: What Bibs to buy??

I run the Michelin enduro style bibs. I prefer a firm front feel, so I use a star cross 5 80/100-21 front with the 90/90 bib. Rear I am running the 100-110 bib In a starcross 5 110/100-18 due to dual sporting a bit. Lots of soap/lube. If you only plod around locally in the lumpy stuff then you might...

Re: Sound Testing

2015 YZ250FX stock exhaust FAILED Idaho City 100 testing in 2016, USFS 96dba limit I believe.
This is the "euro" mx can on the FX models, so is supposedly quieter than North America MX version (YZF).
