Trail cleanup Mclean

I thought I would post this before I forget. Not currently a paid member as I don't ride AB much anymore however I figured a heads up on some of the more remotes part of Mclean. First off whoever built that new section bypassing the nasty cutline climb SW of 720 well done! Still a good climb out of ...

Re: A New Chapter -KTM 690 Set Up

Fuel? Giant Loop fuel bladder. Pricey, but not walking out has a price. I run the 3 Gallon combined with my IMS 18L tank has me close to 30L if required.

Re: Alberta Fire Protection Area Closure

That is not what I just read on the Alberta website. Could you direct to where you read the update? https://www.albertaparks.ca/albertaparksca/advisories-public-safety/ohv-bans/ update: OK i see if you click on the forest area fireban it shows OHV allowed. Weird. Conflicting info, I hope the fish co...

Re: 2018 ktm 500 exc-f check engine light

These bikes are way lean stock. Do not uncork it until you can richen the mixture up otherwise not good. It is a 2018 (2019s are locked) so why not just get a dealer to load a new map in (Euro or Australian)? That way no aftermarket tuner needed. Uncorked with a new map it will be a beast.

Re: 2019 AMSA Races

Does anyone know why the Panorama race is gone? That's super disappointing. The old Operations Manager (Andrew) was a dirt biker. He left the ski hill and moved onto other things. The new manager has a manbun and wears Birkenstocks.... thank you for the monday morning laugh. it is to bad....this on...

Mostly the road but does include the access to Pecker Poles from the east.

Anyone have a stator for a 2007 525 XC/W?

Myself and a buddy are entering the Wandr Enduro event this weekend in Invermere and we are having problems with the current stator on his 2007 525 XC/W. Anyone have one lying around lol?

2018 Husky FE501

Not the harescramble machine like my former 300 but seems to be worlds better than my old KTM 525. Depending on the group I ride with I will either just ride out from town or mount the dirt wheels and haul out in my truck.

Sort of new

I have signed back up (and just paid). Was a member back in 2006 and I think the board was reset in 2009 giving me this shortened user name. After a hiatus from Club activities I am starting to dabble again. Lack of riding buddies and the need to break in the new ride has pushed me to become active ...

Re: I need to borrow a clutch basket tool

Thanks for the tips. It sounds like the broomstick in the spokes is foolproof. I do have one more quick question regarding the clutch basket. I am in the process of grinding the rivets on the original to separate the primary gear and basket. The new basket came with bolts that require red loc tite a...

I need to borrow a clutch basket tool

Does anyone have a clutch basket tool for a KTM I could borrow? I have all the parts sitting on my bench (inner and outer baskets, clutch plates) ready to go in next week when the weather warms up a bit. Failing the tool does anyone have a tip on holding the basket while torquing the nut? Lastly I o...

Is this accelerated plan the result of SLS being shut out of the Castle? Got to feed the mill somehow?

Re: compression testing a 2 stroke

250 should be between 165 and 195 depending on model and modifications. I think the 300 is very similar. I have mine tuned up for 195 when new and when it drops below 190 I replace the rings. Second time gets Piston, rings, wrist pin and bearing. But maybe I'm over cautious. :D Maybe not. I got laz...
