Re: Version #2 McLean Club Map
I've got a copy of the version 2 map, and it's incredible. It would be worth the $40 RMDRA fees by itself. Do yourself a favor and get one.

Tire Change at Rocky Mountain Honda Powersports
Just had a new rear tire put on my dirtbike, and was charged $70. When I spoke to the service advisor Regardless of my discontent they didn't seem to be concerned. Noticed on the price board they state min charge for tire install is $30. When I asked what could possibly be easier than a dirt bike ti...

Re: 08 KTM 405xcf Jetting
I know it's been ages since this began, but I finally got the Honda diaphram and rode a couple weekends ago. The bike has never ran so good. Took off the Boyesen quick bog as I've heard people call it, have the JD jetting exactly as they called for, and the Honda diaphram.

Re: 08 KTM 405xcf Jetting
It is tricky but you can get the carb to spin in the boot to access the bottom of the carb without having to take the whole subframe off. That is what I do as well. I think the instructions that come with the jd jetting kit actually explain how to do it. With my bike you have to pull the carb out o...

Re: Red Bull X Fighters
I got the best of both worlds, went riding during the day, saw 3 bears on Barwell, and then went to the x-fighters. It was the first time I've seen that stuff in person, not sure I'd be so excited to do it again.

Re: JD Jetting Kit
I agree with Dobi, I love my 450xcf because it is a handul on tight trails. It seems to force one to ride faster. The 13 tooth front sprocket is a must have.

Re: Village idiot #4
haha...that was hilarious. But I have to ask, is removing the rear tire really that hard?

I don't know why it took me so long to join this forum. But my name is Jeff (big surprise there), I currently ride a 2008 KTM 405xcf. Before that I had a 2001 KTM 400sx. I spend most of my time out at McLean Creek, and also frequent Koocanusa and Inveremere for early season rides.

that would be a 450 I ride, not a 405 (doesn't exist) or a 505.

08 KTM 405xcf Jetting
Alright, I admit I know hardly anything about jetting. All I did was install a JD Jetting kit following the kit's advice regarding which jets to install. Still some bog. I just installed a Boyesen quick shot 2 accelerator pump cover; I have not tested it yet. I was wondering if anyone can provide so...

Re: 08 KTM SXF 450 Problem
The spark plug you want is the CR9EIX Iridium from NGK. It made a huge difference on my 08 450xcf. There is also an electrical connector just in front of the gas tank, above the shifter side rad. If you leave disconnect this the bike will run a little better IMO. The manual does mention this and say...
