I would pull the carb apart and check for any dirt or other foreign material that could be sticking the slide. Also check for frayed cable ends, worn linkage, etc. that could be getting stuck on the bellcrank on the side of the carb. Sometimes, removing, or flipping up the entire subframe is the eas...

Re: KTM Springs and Misc Parts
Also, I'd suggest you don't assume how much your gear weighs. I compared my weight in street clothes vs. fully geared up with full camelback, tool bag, etc. and was amazed at the difference, approx 30lbs. difference.

Re: Convincing Wife to Let Children Ride
We have a lot in common JG2, including twins, moto related spinal injuries and wives that don't ride. Mine are 9 and have been riding for a few years now. I'm hoping to make it to the party, maybe we can get our wives talking. I'll be the guy with the twins...

Re: Crimp Style Fuel Hose Clamps
For future reference, the filter I used is a WIX 33095, about $8. The clamps cost me less than a dollar in the end. I wasted more money buying the wrong clamps from Home Depot than the total cost of this job. The local dealer quoted me $88 for the ktm filter + clamps.

BTW, anyone looking to do the same, the oem filter is quite expensive, and there are readily available matching spec filters available from your local auto parts store.
